I believe like laura lynn said above me. If there is a God he loves everyone equally. If there is a God he doesn't interfere in this world,he set it up and lets it run. If you want to know God better look at science and see how he created the universe.

Also I would like to add if the rapture is coming then it can't come soon enough for me. Oh Lord Please let it be today Amendrinker

it seems as though you may need to do a little more homework.
if Jesus DOES come back to gather up his people, then that would mean that all along there was a God, you were wrong, and the prophecies in the Bible are indeed going to occur.
this is where you need to do a little more studying. obviously if all of the preceding events happened, then the great tribulation that was prophesied will also happen. this will leave you AND your friends that were left here with you in a whole world of complete pain and utter chaos.
think of it this way....
if you believe in God and live right...and you end up being wrong, then you have lost nothing.
if you believe there is no God and you are wrong....yea well. basically, you are screwed.

It's amazing just how silly absolute atheists can be, isn't it? :-)

Im not an atheist but I wouldn't go pointing the silly finger if I was you. At least I don't think that a man that ate an apple long ago made me a terrible sinner today and that the best way to cure that is to nail another man to a tree.
Peace

the "rapture" teaching eminated from an obscure interpretation of scripture in the 1800s.

This concept is short lived and errant.

The delusion is found in the abstraction of evading personal responsibility for ones own actions and purposing to adhere to the temporal fallability of this life and care for brotherhood of man.

To escape this responsibility means that helping others and loving your neighbor has no immediate consequence and that living responsibly within our own generation is futlie and meaningless by supposing that some can escape doom and gloom and not be held accountable for duty and service in selflessness to those around us in need or in want of fulfilling richness of life.

This stands against what Christianity teaches in truth.

Imagine a christian living for an evasive dream and obscure interpretation of scripture and not for helping his fellow man now in the present.

It would deny faith and good works and establishing good in the present world.

Unitelligably ignorant wishful thinking.

Churchianity at its worst.

I am a Christian, born again and filled with the Holy Spirit.

Today, is what matters...tomorrow takes care of itself.

good job wooldee. I am glad someone knows where this made up therory comes from. You are right in around 1830 this preacher his last name was Miller and they called his followers the Millerites. He gave several predictions about when this rapture was going to happen. Each time came and they were still here. The Millerites died out mainly their may still be come around. But it got spread like a disease through the believers to where they think this is doctrine and part of prophecy. It is kinda funny though but then sad also. This designed thereory of eternal damnation that I have seen is also a disease that was foriegn to the church untill Dante's play in 1500's maybe earlier i have forgot.Yahweh does not have a eternal hell and the earth will never fade away.Egyptions now they put alot of stock into the after life. Where they were going to go. You can pick up any picture egyptian book and see the people wearing crosses. Boy now i bet I stepped on some toes. The bible does tell us basically when the dead rise 1st and then those who are alive. The event will be seen world wide and the world will be rejoicing untill this event actually happens. I wonder if anyone knows what this event is the world will rejoice over?...Blessings....Miles

I can't wait for the rapture because I think it will be great to see the look on his face and others when they realize oops this isn't earth......

Doesn’t is just amaze you the way the Love of Jesus shines though in the words of the Christians?

Heaven will be such a wonderful place, filled with such back-stabbing hateful hypocrites.

Thank God I’m going to hell. At least I can trust people there to be honest. flowerforyou

you see, people.

The Bible teachs a few things that cannot be maligned.

1. Be instant in and out of season to give a good report of the hope that dwells within and share the truth.

2. Matt. 6:33-34 teaches to take care of today and your own needs met by God.

3.Today, if you will not harden your hearts, is the acceptable day of the Lord. many scriptures reiterate this as well.

4. Although 1 Thess. 4:17 says we shall meet the Lord , that remain alive at His coming, It is also written in verse 9-12 to mind the present and be all you can be now. This is a must read for context.
I admit that the Lord has touched my heart concerning vs. 17, but forsaking the presen and focusing only on a future event that no man knows the day or time in which it occurs, is folly.

And the Lord testifies of such to His children that know him.

5. In 1 Thess. 3:8., it says, " For now, we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord". And goes on to teach that we all have a responsibility to share the truth that its testimony be duplicated and received by others, that THE JUSTIFICATION OF OUR FAITH IS NOT IN THE TEACHING, BUT BY THE EXPERIENCE OF OTHERS THAT COME TO KNOW THE TRUTH. Knowing that we are known as we know, and that those that receive, likewise give. This is participatory in lifestyle and upheld by the Lord himself.

I wish to quote 11Corinthians 4:1-5 for the context of my intent in sharing some clarity on this matter, as I understand it.

"Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospelof Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Christ's sake."

In conclusion, about Hell and its dominion, I would like to share an often overlooked and neglected word written by Jude in his short letter. It appears to offer much and is included in canon, I believe, because of it.

" And the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgement of the great day."

Wooldee

I take it in your last quote that you understand that satan and his angels/demons are chained/locked away untill the end of this thousand years when they are let loose and many join them and they are destroyed at this judgement. Is this how you see this playing out?..Blessings...Miles

ABra, I don't believe you are headed for Hell, just not convinced that you want to be found elsewhere.

But by focusing on the negative and errant things displayed by the Christian world, there is the risk of filling yourself with an antithesis that is not self sufficient to bring adherents into the light of your understanding.

A doctrine based on refutation is just a rebuttal of the crass nature of delusional interpretations of things historic.

Certainly, your heart seeks for truth. Share that and spit out the foolish rhetoric that ails the mind. It is quite freeing.

I know you are determined to remove delusions, but no one is deceived by them that is not already escaped from such shallowness.

I think you are beating a dead horse sometimes.

Your best gets obscured by your disdain, as does mine.

It's easier to see yours than my own, and we both harbor similar disdain.

You are quite profound when sharing the treasures of your content and character. That is what I believe sustains you best.
