“Journey That Lies Ahead”

As I think of this journey that lies ahead.
I wonder is there another way instead.
We go through life looking for someone.
And we do not quit till the journey is done.

But could it be true that in the end we will see.
It was always there to be.
That actually in reality it does not matter how.
It happens for when it is time it will allow.

For us to see the one we have been looking for.
That all along we just did not see what was in store.
We thought we could rush things to happen sooner.
So we took it upon ourselves looking for a partner.

Finding out all along that the one we do find.
Shows up out of no where and blows our mind.
They could be the one down at the corner store.
Behind the counter that asked if we needed more.

Maybe it was someone we had started talking to.
And never thought of them as one we would pursue.
How do we ever really know when?
We will find that one and a new life will begin.

Sooner or later we will all realize that to walk alone.
Is not bad for that is when we learn to be on our own.
Then we will be ready when that special one comes our way.
Our hearts will be opened and ready for them to stay.
