What is love? It is one of the most difficult questions for the mankind. Centuries have passed by, relationships have bloomed and so has love. But no one can give the proper definition of love. To some “Love is friendship set on fire” for others “Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it”. No matter how you define it or feel it, love is the eternal truth in the history of mankind.

Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true. Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love can not be measured. Look at the relationship between a mother and a child. The mother loves the child unconditionally and it can not be measured at all. A different dimension can be attained between any relationships with the magic of love. Love can be created. You just need to focus on the goodness of the other person. If this can be done easily, then you can also love easily. And remember we all have some positive aspect in us, no matter how bad our deeds maybe.

This was an insert I read on a web site. I have been thinking a lot lately about love and the meaning of it. And even asking myself, how does one know they are in love? Does getting a funny feeling in your stomach every time your partner is around defined love? Or is that just something people think love feels like? How about that missing feeling when they are not around? Or is that just a need of wanting to be close to somebody? I mean really how does one know that they are 100% in love? We have all these text book definitions on what love should be or what love is, but can we really defined an emotion like love from what some perfetional writes in a book? I have been married before but still do not think I was really ever 100% in love. I have had people tell me that when you are in love you will "just know."

So I guess my question for you today is how does on "just know"? People are on here saying that they are looking for there true love, but, have you ever felt 100% true love to be able to say for sure what it really is?

I think it could JUST HAPPEN.....I mean, who's to say it can't? Just because it hasn't yet, doesn't mean it never will.

I understand that to love somebody is to accept everything about them. But can you not accept everything about a person and still not be in love with them?

Brian, who is to say it can?

Gyps, then if it is the same was as a friendship how do you know you are not just loving them as a friend?

addendum: You "just know" because you're willing to do the work it takes to give someone 100% care and concern for their spiritual growth and welfare...

Next? You dismiss it like you have all the answers. I mean I am sure I can go to the dictionary and find a text book definition as well. But again I ask, are you satisfied with a text book answer about something that can be a life time emotional experience?

Love is a bashful smile,
a sweetly spoken hello,
a soft embrace...

Love is two hands intertwined as one,
it is a slow lingering kiss,
a swell inside your chest...

Love is admitting wrongs,

a mothers touch,
a child's innocent giggle,

Love is undeniable,
unforgettable,
unimaginable,
what every person's heart hungers for...

That is love.

If we knew how to describe love, then it'd be too easy to fall in love. Thus it has to be difficult, multi-faceted and down right evil!
