After I stated that I support soldiers overseas, everyone has been meticulous about writing that they support soldiers "at home and overseas". For the record, I support all American soldiers, I wrote overseas because we were speaking specifically of Iraq. I couldn't think of any reason why anyone would assume that I only support soldiers overseas, but I figured I would clarify, haha.

Wasn't this thread supposed to be about the idea of a 9/11 conspiracy? Fight nice boys...explode How about this... Isn't it great that we live in a country where we can openly "discuss" points of view with only a minimal chance that the government is listening?
Wait, some men in black suits and sunglasses are at my door. If I don't make it, tell my ex-wife I hated her!laugh

Peace Fresno...anyway.

Honestly, hard to put anything on this as both perspectives make their points. How the buildings fell and the length of time it took for them to fall, on top of the original architect explaining numerous times after 9/11 that the buildings were designed specifically to withold the amount of force they took. And building 7, which in my eyes is difficult to explain with some degree of certainty. It's going to be like JFK, even if it is ever proven there will still be people out there with their conspiracy theories.

I think we're still close enough on task that the thread can be considered a success. It was a natural progression from governmental conspiracy to citizen's rights and obligations to whether or not those rights and obligations were directly at stake in our current war(s).
And with fewer insults and inflammatory statements than most threads!

Well, it Was about the 9/11 conspiracy. Then I opened my mouth (fingers?) and disagreed with some folks.

People don't much like it much when you disagree with them - especially when you start confusing them with facts!

I can honestly eat pizza every day of the week...
Seriously, the most impassioned thread I've read in a while.
Building 7... a whole new can of worms, and the very foundation of the 9/11 conspiracy. I haven't done enough research on it... anyone else?

any other time I wouldnt give it a second thought but anything that Bush and especially **** Cheney is involved in, anything scandleous is possible!!!!!

I agree with the ideal the great deceiver and his cohort would be involved in great conspiracies but I am not prone to believe the responsiblitity for the 9/11 attack to be fully their fault. Our government was at fault though, because there were agencies in the government that stopped their employees from flying due to intel received. Funny how the employees were more important than the collteral damage of us silly civilians, huh? Bush couldn't care less about the American people, he has shown it with 9/11, Katrina, etc...... He has his own agenda, it involved Saddam and Iraq and we can only guess what it is. He could not care less about bin laden. So what he killed 3000 Americans, collateral damage, I guess.noway

Hey, hey, I do not believe that anyone here, whether a prowar stance or antiwar stance, will disrespect the sacrifice of our brother and sisters in Iraq. So please do not take it that way. We are all proud and honored for your gift of your life for our country.flowerforyou

First of all, it was not a mistake if you believed it to be the right thing to do.

Second of all, if you think that piece of parchment is something that no one cares about anymore - then you joined for the wrong reasons.

The ideals written in that "piece of parchment" happen to be something that I and others in this country hold dear to our hearts.

Many in my family have fought and died for those ideals.

We did not do it because we "thought our country needed us." We did it for what we believed.

We knew what we believed in.

The question is - do you?

Nope - not saying you are a phony.

Just don't be so dadgummed militant about it.

Just talk to us here at home. Believe it or not - some of us actually know what you are going through - and some of us really care.

even if it was true how many people would be able to swallow that fact? very very few!! people would go into denial and think of reasons why this isn't true.

Yes.
but I dont believe the "official" ideas of the conspiracy.

I used to believe Alex jones but when he scoffs at Jesuit influence as "hogwash" I knew that nothing is what it seems.

its insanity to even THINK that the "govt" was behind such a plan.
It much more widespread.
