I might think I'm actually a little too over confident. I know that's weird, but the thing is, I know I'm worth it. This self worth I put on myself probably makes me a little picky. You top that off by having people tell me that a guy my age, that's never been married and has no children, is actually in "demand," well that leads to a big head. Add in that I can use my exes as references, yeah, the good kind of reference, and well that makes me pretty darned special, and I know it.

Now, I'm not saying I'm the most handsome man you'll ever meet, I'm not the richest, or the smartest, I'm not even the nicest, but I have a sprinkling of all the best qualities a person should want. I think it's only fair I find someone that matches me, and that I don't have to "settle" for anyone.

I believe that people are single because they choose to be. This leads to a lot of different explanations. Like some people are so picky, and they want the prince charming to come along and sweep them off their feet and ride off into the sunset and it just doesn't happen that way. Relationships are something that need to be nurtured and worked on to make them exceptional. It doesn't just happen. Another reason is that people tend to set their sights way too high and out of there league. Kind of like a point system. If you are a 4, then look for a 3-5, not a 9 or 10. A friend of mine was not so good looking and always hit on women who were very beautiful and they would run away. Hmmm I wonder why that was. Another reason people are single is because when they meet someone, they are meeting that persons representative, not the actual real person. You don't get to know the real person for a few months after you start dating and then you realize who this person really is and most of the time you wanted the representative, not the person now standing before you. Does anyone follow and agree with what I am saying?

i guess that it's true - it takes time to find the real person in that person.

I understand your view on a point system but sometimes people think they are lower on the scale than they actually are. Many people have told me I'm like a 7 or 8 but I've never been out on a date in my life yet. I believe a guy has low as 1 on the scale could still win the affection of a girl as high as a 7 if he knows how to make her happy.
