I don't mind if the person seems brighter than me, but if they don't seem intelligent they don't really have my interest. To me, brains are more important than looks. Noticed you are a fellow engineering major. Not too many girls in engineering, you must be one smart cookie. 
*grins* I like to think so. I'm pretty good at math and science. Hurray for engineering!!!

Do you find it attractive when someone is smarter than you are? What about if they're significantly less intelligent? For starters, I love when someone is way smarter than me in their particular interests, but about equal overall. If I had to swing one way or another, I'd lean towards them being smarter. |

I love when they are smarter than me. The good thing is it doesnt take much. So i have a large selection. I glad we dont date animals.

We all learn something from another. It is nice to learn something you didn't know, but not many like to be around know it alls. I hate when a man talks to a woman as though her smaller size equates to less intelligence. I'm sure there may be women who are condesending, as well.

One big turn off for me is when their profile says redundant stuff such as, "I like to have fun."
 Yah, and I like to breathe oxygen. You impressed by that unique quality, Einstein? Hey, I can pick my A** and chew gum at the same time, but I don't think anyone cares about that either....though I might consider making that into a bumper sticker.
