do you ever feel like your life is going no where?? Or that you had all these plans but they just fall through because you are too scared to take a chance??? (mental breakdown right now)

My God, girl, you're in Fargo, North Dakota That's enough of a problem. Take all your fears and worries, make them come true, and you have the past life of most adults. We get through it (somehow) and are better for it.

I think we all fall in ruts from time to time.

Kaylas-my advice to you at your age...
TAKE A CHANCE. There will times in your life that there is change. Be the change you want in your life. You will fail at times but so what? How do you know unless you did it! Everyone has a different path. It will change many times....that is the joy of life. Inhale...exhale slowly en live happily!

These are the times that define you - it's not having this problem, it's the struggle of working through it that makes you grow...

right now, sitting there, it looks bad, whatever it is... ESP. to an 18YO! (LOL) but, in a few days or so, your perspective will change, and you'll be stronger for the whole thing...

I know it's difficult now (I've got a daughter, your age dealing with stuff right now) - but, trust us, it gets better. There will be many downs... but with them come the upswings, which are GREAT!

You'll learn to deal with times like this - and you will grow and become healthy for it. it's the ones that don't grow from them that have the problems...

I know all about failing...ive already done it.....i moved 600 miles away 5 days after i graduated high school....3 weeks later i was back home....then i went to college....i got put on acedemic probabtion....now im dropping out of college...so i can get caught up on what i owe my parents...my dad tells me i cant do it...my mom tells me i cant do it....sorry to everyone reading...i just needed a place to vent a little

life has a lot of ups and downs.you have to enjoy life each day.life is to short to let it get you down.everything happen in life for a reason.life is always constant change it never stops.

Not a problem, Kayla. We are here for you. I understand. It will work out. Time flies in life. Really fast! This too shall pass. Just saying it is a little overwhelming is half the battle. En for all the people who tell you can't do something...

My biggest issue is im only 18.... my parents didnt prepare me for anything....they wernt really there for me when i was a kid....and now that ive graduated high school....i just dont know where im going...i hate this feeling....when i was in high school everything was decided for me...it was so easy...and i just took everything for granted....There are certain schools i want to go to ...but have no idea on how to even begin to even make it possible...and no one to help me make it possible....i just feel so lost right now

Life itself is a challenge. Learn from mistkes. Venting is a good way to clear ur mind. think alotof us hve been tere done that.And for the ones who say you cant do it. HA . Prove them wrong is all up to you.

I've 18 & 19 y/o daughters. I've raised them to fight (literally & figuratively): I've always told them I'd never be embarrassed if they lost, only if they quit. They ain't quit yet and they won't quit tomorrow.

I don't think life gets easier and I don't think the fight is ever won, but there's always a fight.

Of course, this is advice from a man who's never been married! LOL

This day an age with the internet you can Apply for grants. Just takes a little time. Just believe in yourself. Trust me where thres a will theres a way.

Thats the other problem...im losing my motivation because no one thinks i can do any of it...Dont get me wrong i love my parents and they have bailed me out a lot...but when it comes to moving away for school there is absolutly 100% no support from them....

You may qualify for additional grants for school. The FAFSA file date is by March 10th. Find a room-mate in the area you want to go en get a job close by. There are ways. Need any help with the financial aide side, let me know. I am an educator en would be happy to see if there is a way.

Problem is the application deadlines for the schools are an issue. Have you already been accepted or are going to where you were before?

The final crux is that you need to do some things on your own. Work en a plan!

I have a couple of schools in mind but i dont have the fees to process my applications....and i wont be going until august....

People tend to get caught up in "why they can't" do something. I prefer to focus on "how I can!"

I had to be so crude, but you can pile all those excuses you have on top of each other and you still won't be able to climb out of that hole until you actually get up and do it.

A college education or a high $ job isn't going to cure your ills. If you don't believe in yourself as you are, change. If you can't change, find a belief system that can change you.

There is nothing more powerful than the will of a man (or woman); even nuclear weapons can't make one change his or her mind. Girl, get up and move.
