Ok im old fasion so bare with me please.

I spend all day cleanin my bachelor house (pig sty) and about 8 pm i pic her up at her place and bring her over to a clean house. I have her favorite flowers as the center peice (Marth eat your heart out). I bring her into my home and surprise her with a home cooked Candle lit dinner, and to top it off i take her outside with a blanket and cuddle under the stars.

Now i havent tried this one yet i was hopin to get some opinions from both side of the sexes....so please tell me what might help.

Well, I think that it probably depends on the girl, and how long you have known said person, but as a general rule for myself, I think something fun like the amusement park, bowling or the zoo (fave! lol) is better because you are able to just have fun and get to know the person better! Save all that romance for a second or third date.

How do you know on a first date that she is that comfortable with you to go cuddle under the stars?? I think it's a little over the top for a first date... but later on it's a good idea.

Yeah, and some pink flamingos in the yard - only your version seems kinda black and white. Good Luck. I'd advise a bit more excitement early on - old-fashioned or not. Agreed, depends on the girl.

Well, as an "older" woman and somewhat old fashioned...*cough, cough*...I think this is a wonderful idea. Just make sure she's ok with it and knows from the start the date is at YOUR house. Some woman are a little apprehensive. Some previous experiences may make them leary about being with a man "alone" on his turf...but otherwise, it sounds very sweet. If she won't go then I WILL!!! LOL!!!

boy do I agree with you 100% that it seems that all the romance is gone, too many people are hung up on what can you do for me or what can you give me, go for the romance,

get to know the person as herself first, chat about what you might or might not have in common to see if theres a chance of a ltr

Stay strong, man. Don't go over to the dark side. You can't come back.
