Is a midterm blue wave for Democrats becoming a blue tsunami?

National sentiment and recent polling show that Republicans will almost certainly lose their slim majority in the House of Representatives, and even in the Senate, where only months ago, most thought their majority was generally safe, now shows Dems leading in states formerly considered safely Republican.

Further evidence: Trump & the RNC have had to spend loads of time in traditionally safe Republican places like Texas & Kansas.

In the fight for the Senate, the dynamics have forced Trump and Republicans to spend valuable time and resources in Alaska, Texas, Iowa, and Ohio ‒ and more recently Nebraska, South Carolina and Kansas, each of which Trump won with double-digit margins in 2024. Polls show Democrats competitive or leading in each of these states, while also leading in the first-tier of battlegrounds such as Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan, and tied in Maine.

How bad/good do you think it'll be? Think the polls are just wrong and Republicans will pull this out, or Democrats will take a huge majority in the wake of Trump's unpopularity? Polling isn't generally available for smaller contests, like most House races, but I'm guessing it'll be somewhere in between. I'm reminded of my conservative friends' smug faces as their party took the majority a few years back. This time we have a new "forever war" and diesel up to $10/gallon in places.
