Topic: What is YOUR attitude towards failure?

I might be a little out of the ordinary on this (what am I saying- I’m a freak) but my attitude towards failure is far more accepting than others.

To me, failure is like an old friend. We’ve been living quietly together for forty years or so, and we’ve gotten to know each other quite well.

I don’t get depressed over my own failures anymore. When I get depressed it’s usually about what others are doing to animals or the environment.

But I’m curious if anyone else feels that way about failure.

Is failure your enemy or a friend?

Best friend.
Successes in life bring you satisfaction but
failures teach you lessons not gotten
anywhere else.

Failure is a learning experience.
If you've never failed at anything, you've never left your comfort zone.

Embrace the failure, learn the lesson and move on.

The most successful people fail over and over, learn their lesson and keep going.

Noone can GOAT everything. I chalk failure up to a learning experience and rethink WHY it didn't work and improve on that.

context: it works quite well when coding

And as that saying goes: success comes from failure.

Failure is not an option ! Whatever it takes, get it done.

A failure through no fault of mine is more disappointing than one caused by my own mistake(s).

I really liked that answer

When I was younger I would try new things

Now my motto is:
If at first you don’t succeed
Pack it in

Hi everyone, failures have to do with social and personal standards, too. Do I succeed in meeting them or not? Who says I have to meet that requirement? Why did I choose that challenge?
I guess it's part of our human journey.

I'm the person that fails at everything.

Exactly this!!

Sometimes it feels very unpleasant, it can be upsetting depending on what it was about.
Other times it milder and more of a shrug-it-off thing.

But it's always a lessons.

Real genus are born from failure. some can become loosers because they give up.
if the road is bumpy you get a good massage and awareness, If its smooth then its like you have never seen the bad side of life.

If I fail at a new thing/something, I need to know why because I believe that there is a solution to every problem. Even if it means revisiting the failure weeks or months later. Along the way you gain experience and knowledge and learn a lesson or two!

I'm happy to see that many folks on here see failure the same way I do. It's impossible to learn without making mistakes, some people call these mistakes failures, I just call them the steps that are necessary to reach success.

I didn't always succeed at everything right away.
More than once something didn't work out for me, all it takes is determination, patience, a lot of work and time.
You can achieve a lot, but you have to work for it. You feel and know what you are capable of.
