At 40, Franz Kafka (1883-1924), who never married and had no children, was walking through a park one day in Berlin when he met a girl who was crying because she had lost her favourite doll. She and Kafka searched for the doll unsuccessfully.
Kafka told her to meet him there the next day and they would come back to look for her. The next day, when they had not yet found the doll, Kafka gave the girl a letter "written" by the doll saying "please don't cry. I took a trip to see the world. I will write to you about my adventures." Thus began a story which continued until the end of Kafka's life. During their meetings, Kafka read the letters of the doll carefully written with adventures and conversations that the girl found adorable. Finally, Kafka brought back the doll (he bought one) that had returned to Berlin. "It doesn't look like my doll at all," said the girl. Kafka handed her another letter in which the doll wrote: "my travels have changed me." The little girl hugged the new doll and brought the doll with her to her happy home. A year later Kafka died. Many years later, the now-adult girl found a letter inside the doll. In the tiny letter signed by Kafka it was written: "Everything you love will probably be lost, but in the end, love will return in another way." Embrace change. It's inevitable for growth. Together we can shift pain into wonder and love, but it is up to us to consciously and intentionally create that connection. - Liked and shared |

Specially that line above... Reminds me of the time I went to airport to meet a woman, not even realising I was being scammed 🤣 Nice to hear from you, Jaan Doh The line you mentioned holds alot of memories as I read it 🩷 Happy to know that you liked it too Sorry to hear about the disappointment you would have faced.. Not your loss, be happy that the evil left by itself rather than playing with your innocence further Have a wonderful day |

A water bearer had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years, this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, the cracked pot spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. ‘I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you.’ The bearer asked, ‘Why? What are you ashamed of?’ The pot replied, ‘For these past two years I am able to deliver only half of my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master’s house. Because of my flaws, you don’t get full value for your efforts.’ The water bearer felt sorry for the cracked pot, and in his compassion, he said, ‘As we return to the master’s house, Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you’ve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master’s table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house.'” We all have our flaws, sickness and weaknesses.. Some of us think we are perfect as we do our duties and responsibilities. Some of us see the sick and poor people as people who have done sins so they are punished. Some of us tend to compare our perfection with people who do less than us..Even the sick people or people with weaknesses can think that due to these, they were not able to do what they had been doing earlier, these interrupted their goals, their wishes in life. But God's way of seeing each of us isn't the way we can predict.. Through sickness, weakness, we won't be less than others. God loves all of us but through this story we get to understand the the humbleness of the cracked pot. God choses the humble hearts to serve His purpose in a better way because the humble people can still serve God's purpose in a better way as they dont blame others or God for their situation nor boast about them and treat others with less respect. It's all about how we are made perfect in God's love for us even in sickness or weakness through our humble nature. Have a wonderful day |

In the eyes of God everyone is equal
and useful in one or the other way. It is the humbleness that counts This is a familiar story My grand daughter enacted this story in her school last year. She disguised as the farmer and demonstrated the story with the pots. A true moral for all . |

{Don't prioritize your Looks} - Poem written by Donna Ashworth, "Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, as they won’t last the journey. Your sense of humor though, will only get better with age. Your intuition will grow and expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom. Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection. Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom. Your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other wants. Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall. Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, they will change forevermore, that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment. Prioritise the uniqueness that make you "YOU", and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit. These are the things which will only get better." - Liked and Shared 🪔 Listed below is also one of her tweets that I relish always ♥ {You search for your beauty in the mirror, in photographs, in the label of clothes… when you really should be searching through the messages sent to you by loving friends, the cards written to you on special days, and the memories of smiles you created from tears. Your beauty lies in all the ways you touch and care for those around you. The jokes you made to reroute a gloomy day and the music you shared to inspire. The times you showed up when no one else did and the invisible network of love, laughter and light you have sprinkled across this planet without glory or vanity. That’s where you find your beauty.} - Donna Ashworth Awesome ❤ |
