{Don't prioritize your Looks}
- Poem written by Donna Ashworth, "Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, as they won’t last the journey. Your sense of humor though, will only get better with age. Your intuition will grow and expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom. Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection. Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom. Your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other wants. Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall. Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, they will change forevermore, that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment. Prioritise the uniqueness that make you "YOU", and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit. These are the things which will only get better." - Liked and Shared 🪔 Listed below is also one of her tweets that I relish always ♥ {You search for your beauty in the mirror, in photographs, in the label of clothes… when you really should be searching through the messages sent to you by loving friends, the cards written to you on special days, and the memories of smiles you created from tears. Your beauty lies in all the ways you touch and care for those around you. The jokes you made to reroute a gloomy day and the music you shared to inspire. The times you showed up when no one else did and the invisible network of love, laughter and light you have sprinkled across this planet without glory or vanity. That’s where you find your beauty.} - Donna Ashworth |

{Know your worth}
A father said to his daughter “You have graduated with honors, here is a car I bought many years ago. It is pretty old now. But before I give it to you, take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them I want to sell it and see how much they offer you for it.” The daughter went to the used car lot, returned to her father and said, “They offered me $1,000 because the said it looks pretty worn out.” The father said, now “Take it to the pawn shop.” The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said,”The pawn shop offered only $100 because it is an old car.” The father asked his daughter to go to a car club now and show them the car. The daughter then took the car to the club, returned and told her father, “Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it because it’s a Nissan Skyline R34, it’s an iconic car and sought by many collectors!” Now the father said this to his daughter, “The right place values you the right way. If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you…Never stay in a place where no one sees your value.” Never stay, move on… - Liked and Shared |

Do not love half lovers
Do not entertain half friends Do not live half a life and do not die a half death If you choose silence, then be silent When you speak, do so until you are finished Do not silence yourself to say something And do not speak to be silent If you accept, then express it bluntly Do not mask it If you refuse then be clear about it for an ambiguous refusal is but a weak acceptance Do not accept half a solution Do not believe half truths Do not dream half a dream Do not fantasize about half hopes Half the way will get you no where Half an idea will bear you no results Half a life is a life you didn't live, A word you have not said A smile you postponed A love you have not had A friendship you did not know The half is a mere moment of inability but you are able for you are not half a being You are a whole that exists to live a life not half a life. - Khalil Gibran {Liked and shared} |
