Noddy is an animated character in a kids story book... if I remember correctly , and this goes back to the 50s, he had a good friend who went by the name Big Ears ...the setting was in Toyland ....and all the characters lived and played around in an innocent setting .... I guess the joke implied that Noddy muff dived on the mule ... so was banished from Toyland .... that's my understanding of this joke . Other versions can be shared ... cause I maybe of base .... o normally am
