It's definitely possible. But you need to consider some important factors:

1) Do you both have the means to be able to travel to one another's countries for regular visits? Airfare gets expensive.

2) Do you have cultural differences that might end up becoming an issue?

3) Both partners need to be "all in". Long distance is hard...particularly when from different countries. You'll spend the majority of your time on video calls. How are you going to keep things interesting?

4) Think about your end goal. Are you willing to relocate at some point (or have your partner relocate to your country)?

P.S. I was in Kathmandu in October. I enjoyed visiting your country.

Without question it can work, it definitely requires travel, as well as patience between visits.

In the last 1-1/2 years I've been to places I'd never have imagined I'd go to, it's been very worthwhile, she's the love of my life.

It is also going to depend on what type of relationship you are wanting. If it is going to be a physical in person type then you need to consider the travel like others have said. But if you are just wanting a pen pal type relationship then it does not matter where on this earth you are located, especially with internet access...
