it's so lonely on new years

what makes new years so much different then any other day? so it's the start of a another calender year but seriously, whats the big deal?

u know, that whole holiday thing (regardless of which it is) really sucks....granted--its is just another day. Its the emphassis that ppl put on it with the things you should be doing that make you think to yourself "man, I shouldnt be alone on this day."

Its why i hate the holidays myself being single..im guilty of falling into what society feels I should be doing on this day

I HAVEN'T HAD A NEW YERAS KISS THE PAST TWO YEARS... AND IO AGREE MUDDY I HATE HOLIDAYS... NO THATS A LIE I LOVE HALLOWEEN AND MARDI GRAS!!

Last year and this year are the first two I have gotten to celebrate not working. Last year was pretty crappy because my other half and I were not getting along. This year we are split and I have plans. Hopefully 2008 will be a good year for me.

MY EX LEFT ME ON NEW YEARS EVE THIS PAST YEAR. AND IT HAS BEEN A FEW YEARS SINCE I HAVE CELEBRATED NEW YEAR'S WITH SOMEONE. I DONT GET ALL TIED UP IN WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK..IT IS JUST ANOTHER DAY FOR ME, AS WELL AS THE OTHER HOLIDAYS. IF I'M NOT WITH SOMEBODY, IT IS BECAUSE I AM NOT MEANT TO BE WITH SOMEONE AT THAT MOMENT. I AM WAITING FOR THE RIGHT ONE TO COME ALONG, AND THEN I WILL "CELEBRATE" HOLIDAYS WITH MY LOVED ONE.

Well, on a good note, I met someone two days ago that wants to spend new years with me so I am looking forward to the new start.

Loneliness can destroy ur soul............but only if u let it!!!! I'm talking from experience and it's a place i don't wish to b ever again, i really wish u all the best wheather ur alone or with someone this new yr eve, i get very lonely at times but always remember that dark place i went to only a short while ago. Sometimes we have to experience something ugly in life to know how precious it really is.........we r here only once, please make the best of what u have......good luck to u all and happy new yr!! xx

Fully agree. I went out with freinds a few years ago on N/Y eve ago and ended up in a relationship for 3 years... & she's still a freind today although happily not together. I moved on twice since then.

I have never gone out on a New Years Eve ever, and several
of those years have been spent alone! I usually am asleep. Its a matter of how you persive things if you ask me!

The New Year will come in weather I am with someone or not. So why dwell on it? Look at it in a more positive way- positive thoughts bring positive results!
