Linux do you prefer and WHY???

gunna make me pick? i've used em all, their all the same to me... pick your favorite GUI really. Last i've used include Ubuntu, and BackTrack 2... each has their particular usefullness. Back in the day, i was a fan of Mandrake, had some fun w/ RedHat, and Debian i was huge on too...
like i said, take your pick! |

I am by no means an expert, so I stick with Ubuntu, though I did try out redhat a few years back.

I am by no means an expert, so I stick with Ubuntu, though I did try out redhat a few years back. This is where I stand. I've tried RedHat, Debian, and Gentoo. RedHat wasn't bad, but Debian and Gentoo both seemed to appeal to people who LOVE to fool around under the hood of their operating system. Right now I'm running KUbuntu on my laptop. When I build my new computer next year, I'll be running KUbuntu with a VMWare session for Windows XP. At that time, I expect to switch to XUbuntu on the laptop to get a little bit more performance out of it. |
