I wouldn't know what I'd wear to be honest. Engagement parties aren't really done over here, nor the engagement thing. If a man had asked me to marry him I'd want to celebrate this, yes. But it'd be small and intimate. Just him and me having a special dinner, and maybe a get-together with my kids and his if he has any. I think I'd wear something with black and silver, or black and gold. A tighter short dress.

Since I've been invited, then most likely the party isn't really about me. So if I go, it's about whomever is doing the inviting. So...that would dictate what I would wear, in consideration of my hosts. Does Color Really Attract Others??? Light and movement, (contrast/change) attracts attention. Other than that, specific colors cause different reactions in people. So, color could attract one person while repulsing another?
