Well, I tell you, it happens every day in here, anger, resentment
towards anyone enforcing the rules. You bear it..graciously,
hopefully. We have to allow everyone to blame us, to leave the
real perps unidentified..to go about their business.

Being civil does not come naturally to everyone.
You might be simply horrified to see what we see and with whom
we have to deal. And still be pleasant to everyone.

Humor, even one-sided, can be helpful.
That would be my way in the real world ;-)

I hope the pay is worth it :) I had no idea it was that bad. Sorry for my misdemeanours ---{---@

How would you personally feel when someone Insults you in front of Others ?
React with Anger OR Defend Yourself with Humour ???

No one in the real world does that to me. If they did I would hopefully take it with a grain of salt, thinking they are having a bad day or bad moment.

Why is this thread titled "Hating me wont make you pretty"? Is it only for women? Or can men be pretty too?

Online ... it can be easy to read something into a post that was not intended . Personal attacks and insults do not necessarily come from a place of hate often egocentric thinking and unwillingness to consider other viewpoints and culture is behind such negative behaviour . There is another option to the two you suggested .. ignore and carry on. .... silence can be just as powerful .

@paul ... I enjoy your contribution to the forums biggrin happy mingling x

I do one of the two:
-Don't care.
-Fk with them back. (with humor that is)

The only way I can be offended or insulted is if I really cared about what you say to me.

I stopped caring what people think of me sometime in junior high school. That made high school really awesome especially growing up in the early to mid 70's.

Not caring about what anyone had to say was a badge of honor and respect. It has served me well throughout my life.

The negative doesn't get me down and the positive has never made my ego run amuck.

If someone is jealously insulting one behind their back, one could confront them and say “please do not try to harm my relationships with other people,” and ask “how are your relationships with others?” and “Is there anything you need my help with?”

Probably good to avoid contact with such people except when absolutely necessary.

How would you personally feel when someone Insults you in front of Others ?

Depends on the insult.
Depends on the motive.
Depends on the others we're in front of.

I mean there's a range of difference between playfully insulting me to set up a joke while at a dinner party with friends, on a first date saying or doing something insulting by accident in front of strangers, and out of malicious intent wanting to emotionally/mentally/physically/socially/intellectually harm me and potentially my friends or coworkers or family, using present company to maximize the effect with what they know to be the most insulting thing they can do/say to me.

I may feel hurt. I may feel relieved. I may feel anger or rage. I may feel curious. I may feel scared or cautious. I may feel happy.
Just depends.

React with Anger OR Defend Yourself with Humour ???

Sure. Maybe.
Or maybe I don't react at all.
Or maybe do something self effacing.
