I live in a remote paradise and adore natural light/indoor-outdoor connection . Love looking at the ocean and night sky . Although I have remote controlled blinds I seldom use them .

Sounds wonderful! I wouldn't feel comfy myself. Maybe I've watched too many movies, hihi.
I live in a village, but also very private, no one can look into my home except for people walking past the house, which is a few only. The garden is almost 100% private.
I was very lucky to have that almost in the middle of a village. I could dance nekkid in my garden, no one would see.
But in the evenings the garden become a dark hole and I don't like it, makes me uneasy. So I pull the thick curtains closed.

What I'm wondering... do you dare leave doors open that lead out to garden/back at night? Is it fenced off?
yes .. I have two dogs so leave the deck doors open at night so they can let themselves out . Access to my property , land and driveway is fenced ., but where the house faces the ocean .. it is just clear unobstructed views .

Sounds good, Blondey!

I feel safe where I live, but I still lock the doors. Closed curtains, sometimes. Where I grew up, we never, ever locked doors. In warmer months the windows were wide open all day and all night.

They get closed. To much traffic and I hate the streetlights and headlights shining in.

I keep my room ones open in the day though so I dont feel like a total hermit/troll.

Sometimes when driving at night there are houses and your headlights hit the windows full whack. Me always thinking how awful that must be! Especially on roads where people usually have their high beams on. Would drive me up the wall!

I have two windows in my bedroom. The corner bedroom is across from a tractor repair shop. They have an outdoor light that stays on all night. I don't like it, but I can deal with it. They go on every morning with business about 7:20 AM.

I live far enough out in the boonies,
I never have to worry about light coming
in my bedroom windows at night.

I have one-way mirror windows... I see them as I stand nekkie in the window but they can't see me...

Which is good they can't see me, they would get sick and lose it on my lawn if they did... sick

I live in the boonies also. Curtains, I hate 'em. I don't mind light coming in my bedroom window. It gets light out, I wake up, no alarm clock for me. I live about a mile from a gravel pit, it runs all night in the summer. (weeknights) Puts me right to sleep. Been on trips, camped in campgrounds near the interstate. Semis going by, lights out for me. I sometimes clean out apartments for a landlord friend of mine. Each one, I believe they should live in basements. None of them ever open curtains, some go so far as to block up the windows with paper or cardboard.
I'm not a cave dweller.

I leave my shades open and walk around my house nude at night. I have caught neighbors stopping their cars in front of my house to look for me. I have received zero complaints.

I don't have a problem looking at the moon in the middle of the night.

I have all curtains in my home, several rooms.
They let the light in and I open a few for
Sunlight. Otherwise my home would be dark.
I love the light all day Long! :sun_with_face:

You cannot see through them. I have Privacy.

Moonlight shows through in my bedroom at night!

My ex lived in a close, terraced house, the fronts on the outside, the back of the houses in the inside of the semi circle. They all had pie-shaped gardens as the architect was a hippie type of person and had meant for the garden to be one big garden for all. Everyone put fencing up of course.

Anywho, one day we got up, my ex slept nekkid, walked downstairs, put coffee on, then opened the curtains in front of the patio doors which were basically all glass.
He stood in the door opening, stark nekkid. I was shocked.

If someone in the house on the other side of the semi circle had been upstairs, he'd have been in full view. And that someone could be a child.

I personally don't like that, so if the next one does something similar it's over.
