Takes much more than a wolf whistle to impress me or get my attention
The type of man who feels the need to wolf - whistle at random strangers is unlikely to even feature on my radar of what I find attractive . I adore confident respectful men |

I actually thought that the wolf whistle/cat call (whatever) is old fashioned. Didn't that end in the 1970's and 1980's?

I actually thought that the wolf whistle/cat call (whatever) is old fashioned. Didn't that end in the 1970's and 1980's? Hell no! Even now it's not illegal here. There have been cases where a dude got a fine, in Rotterdam one of 'em appealed. The a-hole had called out to girls, followed them, but the judge ruled it was freedom of speech. So even nowadays it's not really possible to properly take care of it. Rotterdam wants to be able to do something about street intimidation. I guess that they could do. But officially calling it 'making the streets safe for women' -which is what Rotterdam wants- is not going to happen. Cat calls are freedom of speech. |
