Well, M2, thanks for offering the free service.
It's said, you get what you pay for, but I'm wondering if it can't be tweaked just a tad. There is certainly a wide range of people who've signed up online looking for love (more or less). Some look gorgeous and even too good to be true. Most look like everyday people, but for SOME reason what M2 has been putting in my "People You Might Be Interested In" feed are the lips and hooves of the singles world. Is there a way that I can NOT see certain profiles or change what M2 is feeding me via their "People You Might Be Interested In" ? [Lumbergh, from OFFICE SPACE, saying] "If you could do that, it'd be just greatttt...." |

You can always pass by the People you may be interested in. You have a choice in what profiles you read.

Yay Cat in Idaho!
You win todays "Captain Obvious Award." Now that doesn't answer the question, does it? Settings. How to. Call of the question and all that. |

In short, No. You can't limit or pick and choose who shows up on your "might be interested in" except by distance from you. It's the internet. Click "No" and move on with life.

I s'pose I have to do everything myself, since this forum is overrun with Cliff Clavins (you know, that guy on CHEERS, who would intone in a thick Bostonian: "It's a know fact that....").
The answer IS in your settings. 1) Check the age of the offending (Lips and Hooves) profiles' age; 2) In BASIC SEARCH, modify the age / search range below the L&H profile(s). 3) Problem solved. Of course, if the SEARCH settings were tweaked to permit the user *not* to see a specific profile, that would permit a more surgical approach. |

Several have mentioned above that there is no way to bypass those the site suggests to you.. Unless you click the X to the top right of each one you don't want to see in that area again..But you have to do each one that way. No guarantee they will not show back up, but that is the only way you can get rid of them.. It is the way the site is set up, at this time it is not in the works to change the platform at all! As far as basic search even in that area, you have to reset your search each time. Due to it is set up to revert back once it has searched and you refresh. Forum Admin Kristi |

Forum Admin Kristi Problem with that, I have been doing that. Deleting Each one I NEVER Want to see again, YET they still keep showing up. Along with Accounts that have Been Deactivated for Day/Months/Years! As Far as MATCH, Same Thing. I have Clicked "NO" On the Same people/person Over and Over and Over up to 20 times in just 10 minutes And still Months Later, Still getting the same ones. "NO" Means "NO!". Most of them also have been Deactivated. Lets not mention the Fakes that keep showing up also making it impossible because any mention of them gets Deleted, Specially from me. It Would Help Tremendously, Remove ALL Deactivated Accounts. Because My Searches are Nothing But Deactivated Accounts or Fake. |

All we can do is give you the guidelines..
As I mentioned above even tho you click the X it does not mean that the person will not show back up another day.. Myself I have never had a account show up in my Match/Searches or Who's interested that has been deactivated for longer then that same day.. The reason that threads on Fakes/Scammers are not allowed within the forums is something we explain every time to the members or within the Thread we have locked.. The site provides a Report System along with guidelines what to look for.. All members have access to report Fake/Scammers.. Admin ban them on a daily bases~~ So if you are, all we can tell you is to contact Support due to we do not handle Members accounts.. They in fact can look at a account to see when it was deactivated and if it determines it is something the IT guy needs to look at. Given all the foregoing, here's a request to those who code the page.
I see there is already code in search results for "click here and you will never see that profile again." (X in the upper R/H corner of the profile box). Bingo. It should be a simple matter to include that X Utility in "Profiles You Might Be Interested In." That would be very nice to have. When you log in, the program pulls up your profile and a corresponding block list. That's how software works, amIright? It's just an idea and a request. While I'm making a request, how about a search utility that sorts by distance from a given ZIP code. Yes, I know M2 *supposedly* has one, (and I've used it), but from the actual search results, it seems more a placebo rather than something real. Kinda like a steering wheel on the kiddie rides. Thank you and have a nice day. |

As I have stated several times the Site is not at this time changing any programs.
If they decide to in the future they will.. But not at this time.. Due to this Topic has been explained and the Support link has been suggested for anyone that wants to Contact Support with their views. Your free to do so.. We do not deal with the Technical issues within the forums only Upper Admin and IT do. And in order to get to them, you have to go through Support.. Forum Admin Kristi |
