Topic: What is your 'happy' tribe?

What kind of people do you feel most comfortable being with? For instance, I can blend in with most anyone, whether posh, business types, the goth & punk, die-hard hippies, and spiritual people. BUT... the ones I feel most comfortable with are the alternative, so the 'hippies', spiritual etc. I realised long time ago this is because they aren't judgemental. So I can be me, and they can do the same. How bout you? More examples, bikers, different age group and so on. And maybe for you it's the 'regular' people. (Not sure how you'd label that, hihi). So what's YOUR comfy group? And then to make it interesting... Is this also the group you turn to for a partner?

I wrote a response to this, and ended up losing it due to a page error... dangit, haha. Anywho... I'm most comfortable with people who are genuine, they aren't trying to be someone they aren't or trying to prove something to the world, they're just being. They see the brighter side of things and are able to laugh and play, so long as it's not at the expense of others. Basically, people who are down to earth and accept me as I am.

People? Nope! Nature is my Happy Tribe. Do I seek my mate from that? Nope. Hihi, I do get that though. I too love nature! Nature never whinges or demands, nor judges.

I had a weird glitch with the site too. And yes, such people are great! I've often found that in hippie-types and other alternative people. Wonderful to be around and to be part of.

Never "ran" with a particular crowd. Once upon a time, I was comfortable with anyone from billionaires to street people. Now I'm comfortable with a few OLD friends and my family.

In my early 20's my roommates were always dragging me to parties, which I hated (peers, mostly.) So I would search out the kids in the house, if there were none I would look for older folks to chat with, make them up plates and spend the party time with them, where I was most comfortable. Then the roomies would come find me when it was time to go. I did not have to try to converse with drunk people and they didn't have to worry about me having fun. Win-win. I am pretty happy in most groups but put me in a group of bigots of any kind and someone is going down. Like you, the non-judgmental are most attractive to me. I would suppose we seek that trait in others.

I would suppose we seek that trait in others. Oh gosh... your story is so relatable! When younger I never really felt comfy in groups my age. I still don't like groups btw unless it's a workshop thing (which again is like-minded people). And drunk people, god awful! I avoid them like the plague, especially women, although men aren't great either. Thanks for sharing!

Always hung with pretty diverse groups, beatniks, folkies, spiritualist. Some of my students became friends even with the big age difference.

I agree. People that are easy going and non-judgemental where I can be myself.

My whole life and friends were fellow musicians , when I stopped performing / drinking so did my social life , most of the time I am alone ,I chat to neighbours on the leisure park where I live and people I meet on holidays but that is on hold now ,

thanks for asking I hung with the un popular kids in high school drama majors hippie crazy cool, tough white bad boys with muscle cars,Brando,Dean Newman,they used like to race there cars,,,zip still love bad bad boys ok Coldersky 🤠

My whole life and friends were fellow musicians , when I stopped performing / drinking so did my social life , most of the time I am alone ,I chat to neighbours on the leisure park where I live and people I meet on holidays but that is on hold now , So artistic people I suppose :) A shame that often comes with drugs & booze, hihi. I too like the artistic breed, provided it's without those 'extras'.

Does it have to be humans? My family alright, but only superficial contacts with people I meet at the moment. And I always prefer cats
