I think getting married is the only easy part.
The hard things, are being married, and even harder, locating someone who actually likes me enough to think about marriage. But I support your list overall. I think Faith in love and faith in the idea of marriage is rather important too, perhaps the most important things. I'll bet those are built into your list somehow. |

I like how and what Matthew Hussey explains this on a radio show.
In short the keywords are: Admiration Chemistry Commitment Compatibility From what I've heard men generally know with in 3 minutes whether a woman is for him. Doesn't mean they are going to propose after 3 minutes, it's about knowing for themselves. |

Honestly, it is easy to "get married". Anyone can do it....it's just the reasons why people do or don't marry vary. For example, I have a friend who married because she didn't want to be lonely and figured that the guy she married was good enough. Still married for about six years now, so I guess they make it work. I have another friend who believed he had found the perfect mate for him.....and after two years they divorced. He claimed that they connected on all levels. Funny thing was that she left him for another guy claiming that she never really loved him. Which is also funny because she claimed that she loved and trusted my friend, and was finally happy to meet a guy who was faithful and loyal. And then she cheated and left him. You just never know.

It seems like many people tend to forget what 'married' means
(in the 'romantic love' sense of the word). {People get married for any number of reasons which often has nothing to do with romance or love.} Romantic Love Marriage means; "I love you more than anyone else, you are part of what makes me, me. I commit to live my life with you and dedicate myself to our relationship. I do this willingly and without reservation." Many marriages start out this way but people change with time. Things seldom turn out as planned. Life gets in the way. we often make poor choices by committing to someone we shouldn't commit to. It doesn't make marriage bad it makes our choice bad. The marriages which work have dedication and commitment to the integrity of the promises made. Honesty, trust, respect and compassion are not rules but a way of being who you are with that person because you love them. Being otherwise is not even an option. Choose wisely. |

Tricks from dating to marriage
Darn. I was hoping this was a sexworkers topic. Like "Tricks: From Dating To Marriage." There four little tricks Wich I find helpful in improving one chance of getting married
Worded that way, doesn't this mean you've been married a bunch of times? Is that the goal? The most marriages win life, or the internet, or something? 1) Honestly
2) Compassion 3) Love 4) Trust Have you ever met anyone that didn't value those, or didn't believe they themselves embodied those attributes? Have you ever had a conversation with someone and said your tricks and they were all "Really? Those work? Aw man, I've been using dishonesty, apathy, hatred, despicability, and distrust...You sure mine won't work for me eventually? Cuz I really like being those..." |
