Waking up to another beautiful sunny day it seems :D

I don't count the weekends, but all I did was work on my boat then.
Lots of little jobs.

Day 3 of my self imposed unwillingness to go to work:

Got measurements, and off to a steel workshop, and got some stainless steel strips cut. 1.2mm x 16mm x whatever they had long in scraps. Not 316, but it will do. 12m of strips = $30. Dearer than expected, but oh well.
To home and work on boat. Drilled small screw holes in the SS strips at 4" spacings, bent and shaped strips to go along the bottom, to protect the keel when it is on the ground or running into things. Made adjustments, drilled and screwed them on; good job.
That took all day, and daylight saving has ended, and it's 6:30 PM and dark already; ripped off.
Pack up and do inside stuff early; waste time on computer.
end of day 3.

Day 4 of my self imposed unwillingness to go to work:

Took off all the stainless strips I made yesterday, mixed some epoxy resin and glued and screwed them back on, sealing the holes and locking the screws; had a chat with land agent, guy next door moved out.

Glued and bolted two halves of a boom together and set it to make it straight, because it was very bent.
The boom is the thing that swings and hits your head (going booom) on a sail boat.
Painted resin on small bits, and the ends of a wood mast, and the end of a gaff. A gaff is a mast extension.
Started working on more SS strips for the edging of the deck, but getting dark now.

Pack up and do inside stuff; waste time on computer.
end of day 4.

Two cups of Irish coffee this morning.

Took my handful of pills and did my breathing treatment.

Removed the legs from my kitchen table and stored it in the spare room.

Mopped the kitchen floor and moved the freezer making sure to check for water puddles (none found but it was condensated).

My truck registration sticker is due $29.48 and I need to go hunt for toilet paper or get my curtains out of the linen closet (just in case).
I'm not really interested in going anywhere.

I put some cube steaks in the fridge to thaw for tonight's dinner.
Gunna have cube steaks in beef gravy over baked steak fries with cream corn.
I have jello for dessert.

Made a jug of Iced Tea. Its in the fridge getting cold.

Doing some light research on marriage advice to young couples with children during shelter-in-place. Last night I talked with my daughter and she is really stressed out and fears her marriage is crumbling. They have 3 young kids and one is a two year old. When I talk with her tonight, I want to be prepared to help instead of just listen.

Gunna play Command & Conquer 3 Red Alert today. Those pesky Americans need to be stomped.

Day 5 of my self imposed unwillingness to go to work:

Sorted bags of old stainless steel rigging wires for useful bits to use on the boat. Found a few sharp bits, and broken wires - ouch.
Got swages, eyes, and wires, and rudder blades, and to one of the local boat stuff shops. I live by a port.
Put wires on the rudders, attached internally through holes, to be able to pull them down into position with cables and shock cord, without getting wet. Also made a forestay, but afterward found broken wires, darn it.

Curry pie lunch, then back on boat.
Inside underneath upturned boat, chiseling sharp bits and lumps from bottom and sides and ribs, ready for varnish. Half done, getting sore, change jobs.
Embedded the wire swages into 4 rudders with chisel work, ready to be resined over and sealed. I'm running 2 rudders like the ocean racers, and got 2 spare blades. In ocean racing boats the steering gear is the most prone to failure, followed by problems with fancy keels.

Dragged out another mast and two booms for inspection. All wood needs re-doing, and aluminium spars (not aluminum), all need fittings riveted on - a job for another long day. Getting dark. Plan tomorrows boat jobs and daydream.
Looks like I'll be working on it all Ishtar, instead of recreating.

Pack up and waste time on computer.
end of day 5.

Wondering why, strangers continue to
ask for my advice.

Most advice I give, probably isn't safe.
And, might not be legal.

Because, I'm an a-hole. That's why.

And yet another obstacle haha. Itโ€™s telling me that I canโ€™t open it on my device.

Strange things happening too recently. My smoke alarm went off last night for no apparent reason and just a few minutes ago my doorbell rang when thereโ€™s nobody there. I can see the front door where I sit
