There is NOTHING wrong with interracial dating..We are almost in 2008 now..Its time everyone came to the realization that when each one of us bleeds..we bleed the same freakin color..RED..We bleed red because we are ALL human..the color of a persons skin should mean NOTHING..If you limit yourself because of skin color..you can and WILL miss out on meeting some VERY good people.

Perhaps it has to do with personal preference. I don't think I've ever imagined myself dating a black woman. Now I'm kind of curious to try....smokin

You are right that it is a preference. It is nothing you try because you wonder????

A man is a man and a woman is a woman, no ones heart should ever be played with because you want to try something new unless, you are up front about them being an experiment.

For those of us that this is our lifestyle---we see you coming a mile away.

I PERSONALLY REFUSE TO DATE WITHIN MY RACE BECAUSE OF THE PAIN AND SUFFERING I WENT THRU WITH MY HUSBAND. I AM PROUD TO DATE OUTSIDE OF MY RACE BECAUSE LOVE HAS NO AGE OR COLOR. MY PARENTS DONT LIKE THE FACT THAT I DATE OUTSIDE MY RACE, BUT I AM LIVING MY OWN LIFE AND I AM DOING WHAT I FEEL IS RIGHT FOR ME. DONT LET ANYONE TELL YOUR SISTER WHAT TO DO. IF SHE IS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH IT, THEN IT IS NOT FOR HER. BUT IF SHE HAS NO PROBLEM WITH IT, WHO ELSE HAS THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT IS RIGHT FOR HER??????? ABSOLUTELY NOONE!!!!

Why is interracial dating still a taboo in the 21st Century?

I am asking this because my sis (Black Female) and her boyfriend (White male) have recieved dirty looks from Whites and Blacks.

Simple answer..they are idiots! bigsmile

Oh and thanks to people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpten for keeping "racism" alive and well in the media to continue to fuel it, instead of teaching as I taught my son... "Never judge a person by thier race, creed, or color..you judge them by thier character as a person".

I am "white"..but give me 10 hours in this desert sun with no sun block, I'll be "fire engine red" for a while! Does that make me a different person..of course it does...I'm the guy in screaming pain anytime I get touched for several days!

Other than that..no change! Same person! bigsmile

i will admit i havn't bothered reading everyone posts but i wanted to give my input.

my half sister jen (white) wound up pregnant one day, with the father antoine. (black) Needless to say, we've heard her father make a couple racial comments, so the meeting between him and antoine ... lil tension there to say the least. But her dad was fair, gave antoine an honest chance. 2 years later, her father does not speak to them for other reasons, but that's not the point, the point in antoine is a good father, and that's what is most imporant. You guys ready for the killer in the whole situation tho? The baby, (my beautiful neice Johanna) does not have so little as a quarter ounce of black pigment in her skin at all! come to find out mommy had an outside relationship, and that's where jojo actually came from... AND ANTOINE IS STILL A GOOD FATHER! What more needs to be said? interracial doesn't make a damn lick of difference! May be a preference thing, like would i date a black girl? more than likely not, not because i'm racist at all, their just not my preference, and i wouldn't outrule the idea of it... long story short, to eaches own, and anyone who doesn't agree with you, to hell with them! have a good night

LOL If it wasn't for interracial dating, I wouldn't be here! It's not race that makes s beautiful, it's our souls. If you were dying and you needed blood to live, you wouldn't give a sh*t where it came from. Same with love, if you're suffering from lack of love, you won't give a sh*t where it comes from...as long as you get to live man...Peace yal' Keep mating =)

I dont think its as much taboo with black male/white females(we see that all the time) but white males and black females I feel people seem to have a problem with it.....I think you see it more now then ever but not alot.......I guess Im like most people who have posted in this thread...If Im attracted to someone I could care less what color they are :)

I think that's just as racist but in a different way. It's also a really poor use of majuscule lettering. If love has no color than why would you refuse to date within your own race because of one unique person.

I've dated outside and within my own race, don't see any issues with it.

I think people still look at it differently. My 13 year old son's dad is black, my 6 year old daughters dad is white. Heres where it gets all Jerry Springer. I live with my sons father/ex husband. Strictly a roomate situation, we know eachother and get along very well. But we get some strange looks when the 4 of us are out in public. My daughter adores him, and he takes her places...which has to look bizzare. Ive had people snap nasty comments at me, adn my son gets alot of the are you adopted question. I never see color, unless there is a blatant distinction, like you cant speak english...redneck and ebonics are not proper dialect as far as Im concerned. If youre intelligent enough to speak with accent and not look like a dumb A$$, ok. But thats where my lines are drawn.

I have noticed that for some strange reason there seems to be more racism here in IL than there was in Arkansas...

I was in a town for 11 years where the races were about even population wise. It seemed most people blended quite nicely with each other and no one seemed to care. The one's who did kept it to themselves. Here the people are just more rude all around. Maybe that's it. Maybe in the south people are nice enough that even if they don't like it they don't say anything.

Here they don't care whose feelings they hurt. My baby cousin is 14, she's the most beautiful biracial girl I've ever seen, and just a few weeks ago at school some little f*ckhead called her that horrid word that I dare not repeat. Jayme almost went to jail for that one... My aunt warned her to not tell me...lol, but she didn't listen. Jayme went off on a little girl.

I think that because the area had an equal mix people might have different racial sensitivities. Here in philly about 50% of the population is black and if anyone ever came out and said some ignorant s*** like that they'd probably get jumped by both white and black people. First it insults black people and then it insults white people who have black friends. Things in philly seem to be more drawn on class lines than race lines....eh everywhere has issues.

Illinois is where that happened, lol, not Arkansas. I've got alot of friends in Arkansas who are mixed and/or have mixed children and I've never heard them be called that. LOL, maybe its b/c the people there know it'd be stupid to do that kind of sh!t.

Here in Illinois some little punk uses that word and sends my baby cousin home crying. She's the sweetest girl on the planet, and a big part of my heart. The fact that it happened here, in the north, just boggles my mind. One reason why I'm seriously considering moving back to Arkansas. Isn't that sad? When you move SOUTH to get away from racist people? Wow, thats terrible...

And it was Newport Arkansas, Jtevans.
