Okay so I talked to this girl a lot yesterday seemed really interested. I talk to her a bit tonight then all of a sudden she says we have nothing in common. So I'm pretty much thinking now (she wont date me cuz of this) she just led me on and is a pretty big jerkoff. Oh well I'm just pissed cuz it's retarded to lead someone on then just let them off like that. Sounds like shes just a bull**** artist or really stupid.

women are strange like that. a lot of them seem to think if your not 100% alike then you must have nothing in common. or maybe she was just getting the feel for you yesterday and today she decided, hell it was only 1 day.

I had a girl do this to me recently, we went on 2 dates and she seemed very happy, smiling alot and I thought we had alot of the same interests, than she says she doesn't think we have alot in common and says she's done. Don't give up, try and find what's really the matter with her.

If she did lead you on, that does suck.

If just chatting, that is.

If she was trying to find out more about you, then possibly that's why she talked for a while and then said y'all have nothing in common. Did she ask you a lot of questions, or did y'all just talk?

Yep, chicks suck too....sorry

I've had several girls flake out from talking online, one girl I talked to for 3 weeks decided she didn't want to give me a shot, just gave up, I think people are still fixated that meeting someone online isn't the thing to do.

Keep at it. I've had two flake outs already and I'm sure more flakes will follow.

we all have people that flake out thats just how it goes.
You talk to eachother and if there is something that the other person doesnt like they just disappear.
Had 3 myself.

Yes it was the same as last night. She's just an idiot cuz she told me last night she would go out with me and had interest. She didn't ask any questions she just randomly said that.

A day and a half on chat and/or email? Is a cheap price to pay.

Interest is a relative thing.

If I were to use the word 'interested', it could mean a bunch of things. If I say I could go out with someone, that could mean many things.

What it wouldn't mean at a day and a half: Commitment, dedication to someone I've never met and only talked with a few times over a few days.

If my situation changes.. I may or may not choose to tell a person I've talked with a few times over a 36 hour period of time, all the details. Especially if I felt that she might just loose it, no matter what I say...

Enjoy the conversations you had with her.. and move on.

yep you're right no doubt. still kinda annoying if you're unsure about your feelings be upfront about it. I hate people who are such idiots. I've been lead on for a couple of months before (not on this site or online) and it's not a good feeling no matter how long it is.

Whatupgangsta, I'll use delicate hands on this one. If you have only chatted with her for three days, don't you think that is just a period of getting to know someone? Is that even in the "friend" stage of getting to know someone? I personally don't see it as leading you on but trying to get to know you.

Now, the scenario you mentioned about being led on for three months is a completely different story.

My advice would obviously be to let this one go. It doesn't matter what her reason is. There are SO many people on this site so just chalk it up on the board as a loss. Realize that you are going to be rejected or reject others. The good thing about sites like this is that you can meet so many different people from all over the world. People who, 15 years ago, you would have never been able to communicate with.

Try to remember the computer is still a safe way to keep a distance and listen to people. Most of your post stay on for awhile so your track record stay with you here.

Keep it light... What someone didn't like about you, might be a special turn on to someone else. Don't take this to personal, and enjoy the conversation. Good Luck

I think it gets scary when things change from 'playing with your computer' to actually forming a relationship. Some people respond by withdrawing... it certainly can suck.
