I’ve giving a old world christmas pickle ornament as a gift on the Winter Solstice.
I can’t wait to see who gets it, it’s apparently good fortune :) |

I am known for strange gifts.
Gave my MIL slippers. Wrapped them separate, gave her one on Christmas Eve then the other on Christmas Day. She laughed so hard because she knew what the present was on Christmas Day. I once gave the X a dress. Thing is, I stuffed the dress into a wrapping paper tube and wrapped a ladle and cheese shredder into it to break up the form. She loved it. I gave my current GF's mom and dad a gag gift. Wrapped a dry egg noodle for her and a toothpick for him. Told him it was an attitude adjuster to pop his ego and her it was so she could add water and beat him with a wet noodle. They loved it! I once printed out each of my son's family's names in a bold font for a gift tag. Trimmed the page and glued it to a piece of colored poster board cut with spikes to look like a comic book balloon, added a poster board stem and taped it to their gifts so it waggled under the tree. They saw big waggling signs with their names on them. They kept the gift tags, lol I've been very creative in my gift giving and wrapping techniques. I can't wrap worth a damn but it is lots of fun unwrapping my gifts. |
