Thinking about it, it's microwave ovens. I read a book by John Brunner called "The Sheep Look Up". Part of it was about a man who's pregnant wife had her child cooked inside her by a defective microwave oven. Ever since then, I'm always a little wary when I use one and try not to stand in front of it.

That I have remained abstinent for so long, I may have a heart attack when/if I am ever with a partner again, or I may freak out so much as to wish I would die.

Worms... Up until a few years ago, not so much now. It was totally weird and irrational because I like spiders and snakes and I'm not afraid to pick them up, but quivered at the mere sight of worms, lol.

What is the most irrational fear you have? Unclear water. I only swim in pools. Too much trepidation now to go into lakes, ponds, the ocean. Tides, gators, sharks, snapping turtles, feral ducks, coral, broken glass, medical waste, farm runoff, creature from the black lagoon. |
