You need to be prepared to engage her in conversation. Writing her and expecting her to initiate conversation is probably not going to work. You should be sincere and hopefully you will capture her attention.

yep. I'll see what she says back to my last e-mail and try and spark a conversation from there. She e-mailed me back last night right when i went to bed (I was exhausted so I hit the bed at 11).

Well anytime one wants a response back they need to make sure they put questions in the e-mail instead of just statements. Like how long they have been on the site? You actually read there profile and ask them a question about it. Small talk at first.

But never just e-mail statements to were they have no questions to answer!!bigsmile

Ohh found a good ice breaker if they look at yur profile send them an e-mail saying caught ya looking and say hi ask a couple of questions if nothing else they will get a good laugh out of it hummmm had it done to me the other day hehehlaugh laugh laugh then turned around and used it on someone that looked at mine lol hey it was an ice breaker and we both got a good laugh.bigsmile

I would say try to set up a time when you can try to do a live chat. To me it is much easier to chat live than by e-mail.

Of course not all people want to chat live. I had someone contact me and wanted to talk on the phone. I am a little leery about that right off the bat. I did not want to give him my number and I did not want to call him due to caller ID. He immediately disconnected me because he hated to type.

Well dude if you email someone and they don't respond that's usually a good indication their not interested so I would just forget about that person as to many emails turns you into an annoying stalker and you sure as hell don't want to be one of those. Oh that reminds me I got a few hundred emails to write lol

read something in her profile and ask her a question about that. or look at the things she likes and ask when was the last time she went ... bowling, fishing, to the ocean... whatever it is that she is into. then she will ask about your interests and there you go... a conversation... WOOHOO.

or you could use a witty line to begin with that will make her smile... then she will write back... and have a reason to remember you...

good luck. hope this helps.flowerforyou

I'm more of a talk, get to know someone for a bit then meet them. If I get a "what's up" and nothing more I'm likely to delete the post. If a gentleman that is out of my area sends a message he'd like to chat I will respond with a thank you but I'm looking for people in the area and wish them luck. If all I get is a "what's up" we probably won't have much to talk about in person.

No offense to the original post, but that's just me, of course. I am just more of the type to try to get to know someone is what I mean to say.
