Well, at least you're going there when it's cool. I know, it sounds stupid, but in Jan, and Feb, it's only in the 40's or so.
Take some long johns with you(LOTS of them). When I was there (when you were in diapers...LOL) the daytime highs in May were at 120 degrees,and the o'night lows were in the upper 80's-mid 90's. Doesn't sound too bad, until you are there. You wake up at 4am with your teeth chattering cuz it's sooooooooo cold..

lol, i had to man!

my oldest brother has been there twice with the navy on the cruiser U.S.S. Cape St. George. he was on it when they caught some pirates off the coast of Somalia. he was doing his laundry and some guy was like "hey were fighting some pirates!" lol he's doing is shore duty now teaching NROTC at a college in Albany, NY

I forgot to mention, thank you very much for doing what you do and kill one for me!

My prayers are with you MPsoldier and Wisdom. Thank you for the sacrifices involved in doing what you do over there so we can continue to do what we do over here. The anti-war movement seems to make the headlines but please know that many Americans truly support you guys. Come home safe and sound.
