While studying the occult and metaphysics some 4 years ago, I ran across Satanism.
I eventually picked up the Satanic Bible from Anton LaVey, and I was instantly hooked on the philosophy.
I followed the philosophy for a few years, and then moved on.

Satanism, not to be confused with Luciferianism, is a belief in the carnal self. Satanism isn't a belief in a Satan or Devil.
In fact, a lot of Satanists believe in no deity once so ever.

Satanism deals with how we all work, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
It deals with harsh rules that would train you to be the better person.

I do believe, however, that Anton was a bit too egotistical, and a lot of people who follow his teachings are blindsided.

Are there any Satanists out there who can comment?

Also, Luciferianism is the belief in the Devil.

I think they should invent SANTACLAUSISM. That way we can all be blissfully jolly and have a christmasesque lifestyle all year round......of course our debt based slave society would crumble quickly, but every 'religion has a down side.

I studied Levay's book for a bit, strongly disagree with it & personaly feel that he was consumed by his anger. However, as long as the followers respect & don't interfere with the rights of their neighbors, more power to em';^]

i am a non- practicing protestant. i dated an athiest, yet never really had a religious relationship with her, or against her. i believe everyone needs something to believe in. it still may take some time to get me to believe in anything. i do, however, believe there is no religion more right than another. Allah is another name for jesus. he is all around us, i believe. some things can and cannot be explained. i guess the only thing yopu have to ask yourself, if you are like me, still looking foir something to believ in, is whether or not it is the quintesential idea of doing what is right, and what may help your fellow man and woman. i believe there is a greater power that was the creator, and although i am not without sin, i try to live my life doing what i believe is right. anything to help, not hurt. everyone needs to walk their own path, because every path ends the same.
