honestly yes that is all there is too me.. i am a bodybuilder. i live that life.. my life is sleep,eat,train. i wouldnt trade it for the world.

consider this, your pic is like the wrapping on a gift... wrapped with time/dedication etc...

But speaking only for myself, while the wrapping is beautiful I am attracted to the heart, the character of an individual, whether he cares or wants world peace...etc...

Cyber dating is just that. There is no possible way that you can "get to know" anyone online. You get a "jist" of who that person is/is not. You will never get the whole picture just online.

Writing online gives people power. Power to dream, and be what and who they want to be. It's easier than having to do it in person, and the imagination of some comes out! It's easier to lie about who you are.

Putting on the "best" face and only discussing what you want people to hear, is common. We all do it in one form or another. Unfortunately some of us are sucked into believing what others project themselves to be, fall for them, and find out in the end it's not what we want....they are not what we imagined. It's a chance you take.

Your profile isn't "who" you are. It's a scratch on the surface only. None of us could put everything about ourselves into the small spaces, or a lifetime of experiences either.

However, you are right in the observation that some profiles mean absolutely nothing. They say nothing. At least be honest about who/what you're looking for, and the ones who can't even admit they're MARRIED, need to go away.

If you read a lot of the profiles, they also say a lot of the same things.

Those who know me and my situation may understand

of course there is more me. but i am a very personal person. if anyone wants to more about me they can email and ask. i dont put all my likes and dislikes in the profile because im not looking for a date or a relationship. im just looking for friends nothing more.. but if someone doesnt want to take the time it doesnt bother me.. i get over things quick.

The problem for some (or at least me) is that all of us aren't gifted with their use of words. I am an engineer, I like math and science and logic. Writing has never been easy for me and I am sure my profile is just blah. This is there is so much to a person thats it hard what you want to highlight about yourself. No one is any one way or the other. take me I am a computer geek, I love watching movies and dvds and sitting around at home playing video games. On the other side I love to get out and do exciting things, I have been bungee jumping, cliff diving and sky diving and I am on a Gaelic football team. When you try and list everything most people sound like a contradiction but when you only focus on one side of your life you miss out on those that enjoy the other side. It really comes down to what kind of mood your in when you write the profile I guess.

That just raises another question.Does it make a difference what kind of mood your in when typing your profile?
My suggestion would be not to type it if you are angry or up set.

I think you'll find mine avoidant (evidently not a real word or misspelled) and absent of any "honest" magnification of my "real self"......but quite funny if you appreciate the flippant

I think in our own ways, some of us try to illustrate who we are without actually "saying" it.

I mean really, how many times have you seen a profile that *says* "I have a great sense of humor?"

How many of THOSE profiles actually contained anything "funny"?
