Topic: Whats up with your profile | |
---|---|
I have found that the profile is not fitting the person.
After e-mails and chatting it's not fitting together. Even after the date the person is not who they say they are. Whats up with that! Any feedback? |

I don't wanna escape who I am .. I LOVE me.
I'm just glad they let me out on weekends to post on here ... |

I've written and re written my profile a thousand times in the year I have been here, it always comes out as me, who I am , nothing fake nor pretend about it. Currently its nothing but song lyrics, it says what I want to say about me right now.

That might be what it is. They write what they want to be not who they are.
Isn't that alittle dishonest? |

For some reason some people feel the need to be deceitful, portraying themselves with words and/or photos, to be something other than what they actually are. I don't really understand that either for a dating site as the main goal for is to eventually meet up with somebody face to face.
Yes I think it is dishonest and a huge TURN OFF. Just my opinion! |

My thoughts exactly.Big turn off.

About 95% of the profiles I've looked at are basically less than useless. No real information about the person, no sense of who they are or what they want. It's "anything you want to know, you'll have to ask me" and "I never know what to write in these things."
If you can't write three sentences about yourself, there's no way I'm going to want to waste my time trying to pull it out of you. I'm just not THAT interested. Seriously, I have seen more informative summaries in the ingredients list on a jar of peanuts. |

I find that people truly see what they want to see. They write down what they think others want to hear and are interested in with the hopes that when they do meet the angels will sing and the sun will shine solely on them. (big mistake)
I usually have a hard time describing myself on profiles, because naturally most are interested in the physical attributes. Not being photogenic doesnt help my cause. lol Good luck and hang in there. |

As an example -- here's the complete text of a profile I just looked at:
========================================= Hi everyone I'm a fun loving person who likes to have fun ========================================= One sentence, and the one sentence is redundant. Where's my incentive to contact this person? |
