10C, still okay but the storm is expected in the afternoon, possibly 8Bft along the coastal areas and bad gusts. Luckily wind is S/SW.
I guess we're going to keep our fingers crossed again.

Hope you’ve tethered everything in the garden.

It’s getting more cloudy here now and the storm is expected around noon.

Same here. Wind is picking up now too, 13.00 (1pm)
Everything in the garden that could possibly get blown over is already flat on its face or removed, hahaha. I had made a cute little fence thingie, it lasted for quite some time but the soil gets really wet here during fall & winter, and at some point the standing up thingies had rotten. So the next storm it blew over. I have yet to pick it up and remove it, not going to fix and re-place it.
Another heavier screen I'd made had one rotten horizontal 'beam' so that also blew over last year. Danged heavy to move out of the way!
The rose arch has been hanging in the hedge for at least a year, hihi. Rust & wind... even ducttape cannot hold that together in these storms.

That leaves the gates, so far we're good. As long as these storms are from S/SW. If we get one from N/NW...

Hope you're fencing is going to be okay too!!
The new fence the neighbours put up, with concrete bottom borders and concrete stands with wooden screen in between, has gotten a bend in the middle! So even that type of fencing -the strongest around- cannot withstand storms. I think it happened during Ciara as I then saw it move and shake a couple of times.

Good luck to all of us!

1c (feels like -4c) snowing. Storm Jorge expected to bring high winds and rain over the weekend.

Aye. That wee fecker is about to hit Ireland today. They are on Red alert in the west of the country. Orange alert here in Dublin. Hope it won't be too bad think

We got yellow alert warning. Ciara was orange. Wait and see.
Good luck, Larsi!

Not much in my garden to get blown away. I’m pleased that my fence withstood the last 3 storms so I have every faith that it won’t be blown over this time either. My neighbour’s 6’ tall fence blew down in the last storm too.

Was talking with 2 different neighbours a couple of nights ago and they both said that they were keeping an eye on my fence laugh I’m glad it’s giving them something to do hehe.

Hopefully it’s not gonna be as bad as they predict. Keep safe bigsmile flowerforyou

Alsjeblieft!
Good you're home. Not nice having to go out during a storm.

Oddly enough at the moment the sky is getting brighter? As if the sun wants to break through? I doubt it will, but I am grateful for the bright light, for however long it may last, haha.

So far it's not really bad here. Yes, strong wind for sure, sometimes very strong gusts. But we had sun from when I posted that early afternoon till the sun went down!
We should get strong winds still tonight, but from what I've seen nothing like Ciara, not even Dennis.
I'm suspecting it's to get worse in the UK?
But... let's not jinx it, haha. Still keeping my fingers crossed!

We had a sunny day for the most part and it started raining around 3.30 pm. It’s windy but not stormy and like you said, nowhere near as bad as the first 2 storms although winds could still pick up overnight.

We’ve had soooo much rain. It’s relentless and there’s 100 flood warnings in the UK.

Gonna have to think about buying a boat if it doesn’t stop soon.

5c (feels like -1c) cloudy with a bit more snow forecast for this evening between eight and ten. The storm hit as a blizzard as my younger brother was giving me a lift home from spending the afternoon with him and his family. Since we were travelling the rural roads through the Moors, it gave a fresh meaning to the words 'bleak' and 'desolate'.

Today was not too bad. Some 9C, not too much wind, some sun, some clouds, a little bit of rain, but mostly dry.

I think inland it was worse. Wind was quite bad at my mom's place. Usually it's the other way round.
