Looks like Dorian is going WNW now instead of just west... hopefully that means it's going to make it's turn soon.

KitKat, the updates you speak of, are those the ones for your area?

Oh our area it's 24/7
5am,11am, 6pm and 11pm are the times when they have sent planes out to the hurricane, they collect new data, and the national weather gives the new track, speeds, etc.
So I wait for those times to get the latest info

Good thing thatwhoa wasn't for me mikeytongue2 I'm a lady on the edge ofexplode mad laugh

Ah, right. Thanks for explaining :)

laugh Brain fog is totally understandable happy

Dorian just stalled, it's stationary right now. Could be a good sign that it's getting ready to do it's shift. What I've learned working outside so long in the Keys is that the water comes to pretty much a stop when the tide changes and the wind will come to a halt when it shifts to a new direction... Hopefully it will be the case with Dorian.

I’m near Daytona, looks better for us right now but who knows ?
The hurricane is on local tv 24-7, saying about the same thing.
I’ve been through many and would have bolted if it hit the fan.
My concern is storm surge. King high tide going on now too.

Sneaky, how far from Daytona are you? They are still expecting quite a surge there and with the king tide it the water levels will be even higher.

I think I'm the only one watching the weather channel tracking Dorian live 24/7.

I'm watching it too cat, and I'm sure quite a few people are as well. That's the channel KitKat is getting updates from, I believe.

Yes, it's a cat 4 now and is stationary. They are expecting it to start going North sometime tonight.

It's bad in the Bahamas and extra bad because those people can't go anywhere.

Yes, they were just talking about that on the weather channel. It's really sad. So far 5 have died. It's hard on the families in the US because they have no way of knowing if their loved ones are okay or not.
