She gave him the choice of two sins, pride and lust, knowing full well a noble knight such as he could never choose lol.

If she was truly in control of her life, why be in the witch form in the first place? Maybe she would have gotten her knight without all the head games. This fairy tale is flawed :joy:

The tale goes back to the time when witch as a young maiden worked as the understudy of the great Merlin. No, this maiden's name is not Morgana. I don't remember and I don't remember what happened but Merlin put the spell that changed her to a witch. I suspect it was because he wanted no one to compete against Morgana for whatever reason.

Apparently Merlin had second thoughts but even he could not reverse the spell. He could only subtract by adding some escape clauses. Gave her hope to live. you know the rest of the story.

Blondey, I directed my comment at the wrong person, sorry
But sweet on him?
Sweet on him?
She forced him to marry, somebody he'd never even met, and had no desire to marry
Thus completely doing away with his free will, in order that she could get what she desired
She then commenced to try to pervert. his free will, by enticing him, to place his neck within either of 2 nooses
At no time did she present a 3rd option
So, old Mr White Knight, may well be a sweety, but I certainly, would not describe him, as a fool, and I'd sure as shiπ still get divorced or run away
What's good for the goose, is good for the gander, but, what's good for the gander, ain't good for the goose, bollocπs

no need to apologise Rd2 .. I always find your posts interesting . You have obviously put more thought into it than me . The topic was what women want ( a fairytale)
The witch gave her answer ...women want to be in control of their own life . Therefore when she asked the knight what he wanted .. it was a trick ... she is magical after all .. what if she had the power to be her beautiful self all of the time . That would be a reward . If however , he made a choice for her .. Then the joke would certainly be in him . I did not consider motive or agendas just what was stated waving
