Good afternoon everyone. I just signed up to Mingle2 a few days ago, and oh boy! First, I'll start off with me attempting to respond to a few of the numerous messages that I received. Apparently, some of these guys must be married, or otherwise in some sort of relationship, as when I tried to respond, I was notified that their user account had been "deactivated".

Besides the deactivation of user accounts, the next best things is that I have guys from across the country contacting me when I've specifically stated in my profile, that I wish to meet someone locally.

Of course, it seems that many guys do not even take the time to read my profile first before contacting me. In addition to getting messages from guys across the country, I've also stated in my profile that I am seeking a long-term relationship, so it puzzles me to get messages from guys who are seeking "an intimate encounter".

I do not wish singleness on anyone these days...LOL...SMH!

Enjoy your day.

Maybe you come up on top in searches etc. since you are a new member. Many sites work that way, could be the same here.

I wouldn't worry about it. Comes with the territory of many (free) dating sites to encounter scammers and weirdos.
Just delete and "Next!"

Good luck!

It's just the scammers, so far for me (3 days on here) 100% scammers is all I've had.

I don't know how much longer I can be bothered reporting them all.

The longer you are on here Judy you will be able to spot them pretty easily and you can just ignore them then.

It's a free international site, and you are about the eighth billion person to post these issues. Delete, block, and move on with life.

I have been at these date sites for years. And yes I am single. I remember when I first started and it bothered me to no end all the flakes, married types etc., scammers and more. You have to ask yourself a question. Why do people do this? Frankly I think it is because more humans are well a little off in the head. I can spot a weirdo a mile away. In a way it is fun and another it is sad. You just have to not let any of it bother you. You can't change it. You must understand these sites are about making money not helping you find a relationship. Finding one happens the old way. You meet at an activity that you are interested in. Like a sport, church and any social gathering. Sadly these date sites could help a lot if the people on them were serious, skilled, conscious and meaningful. Wait are we talking about humans here??? Enjoy, Patrick

I disagree. This site is not about making money. It is a free site. You can upgrade and pay a small fee but that is not a requirement for enjoying the site.A good majority of the folks here just like to post in the forums without any intention of dating or getting into a relationship.
