Looks like a Texas-y profile.

You will never get rid of all the scammers. That is just part of life. As far as your profile goes, 1 thing I noticed is you say you have 5 kids but your marital status says "never married". Not that there is anything wrong with that but it will leave a potential match with the impression that you were willing to have kids but were afraid to commit to marriage. Just my opinion.

Well... the "is that too much to ask?" doesn't invite. It reveals you're negative, disappointed or bitter or whatever. Not positive. Remove it. It doesn't invite a positive, great guy.
If I see that, my first thought is "Oh, another one who's not ready/a whinger & whiner" etc. and I'm gone.

Also write a bit of a longer profile text. Doesn't have to be very long but it should express something of who you are. Make it a bit of a happy, positive story if possible.
And do not start with the children thing and the family thing. Stick that in a bit further on.

Use a photo with a smile if that is possible. This one is sad.

Yup, gotta agree with Crystal. Over forty with three kids at home is a hard enough sell the way it is with out the attitude. Try and come across a little more friendly. And drop some of the goofier photos.

Five kids and never married might be it - that would scare off a lot of men, no disrespect meant (they all probably think you are way to fertile for them or don't practice birth control or..........
