Trying something different in Poems, Quotes & Songs
What was the first song that you can remember dancing to?! hmm? I'll start. It was the Beatles - She Loves You - (Yeah Yeah Yeah) in my neighbors' backyard playing on a toy 45 record player (with - and this is TRUE - just me and 10 girls) woo hoo |

ok - i'll keep it going. i like to hear the circumstances
of the first remembered dance... also playing that day was "I Want To Hold Your Hand" it was a sunny day in the summertime. the family across the street had 12 girls. they apparently kept trying for a boy for years according to my folks and they babysat for us and the youngest daughter was the same age as my little sister. these were brand new songs and it was the first time i ever heard the Beatles. i can also remember listening to (and probably dancing to) "The Music Man" over and over on our family stereo in the basement. i was REALLY fascinated by records. |
