Why you should always put yourself first Because no one else is ever really going to. Other than that, not sure I absolutely agree with the absolute "always."

Because no matter where you are, there you are. Your life is your life. Without you, what is there? Everything in your life is life according to you. No matter how big or how small. No matter right or wrong. My life is the world according to Tom. Always has been and always will be.

You have to love yourself first, before you are able to love others. Otherwise you end up as a doormat.

Why you should always put yourself first I could not put myself first all the time. I prefer to be somewhere in between being selfish and selfless, maybe sometimes more towards one than the other dependent on circumstances.
