I'm not really into Country. I do Appreciate some great songs when I hear them, though.
I liked the Dixie Chicks when they were together. |

Kenny Chesney Tip of my tongue I really like that one. I’d listen to most styles of music mind you.

Carrie Underwood is my favorite female singer, but there are so many Male singer I like, if I narrow it down, I'd say toss up between Keith Urban and Darius Rucker.

I used to enjoy country more than 40 years ago,
but got bored and burned out with the genre in 1981, when I came across a rock-n-roll oldies station, and thus returned to my musical roots that go back to when I was a little guy in the early-to-mid 60's. But when I used to enjoy country, my favorites were The Statler Brothers and the late Roy Clark. Today, I'm more into rock, reggae, folk, folk-pop, jazz, blues, Celtic, Caribbean, and classic R&B, and not into country anymore. |

Loretta Lynn and Townes Van Zandt for me. I like Hank OG too although I find the mythology a little toxic among those inclined towards amphetamines and stimulants. Myself included.
I dig the Stones as a pure country/roots group. They really cracked the code but I'll always be a 60's Stones devotee. Justice for Brian Jones! How could you Keith?! "We was so happy-- My heart was in a whirl but now I'm a ***** Tonk Girl." |

I won't ever turn to a country station on the radio, but I won't ever turn one off if someone is listening either. Mid 80's I started to enjoy light jazz and new age, no words involved just music, never looked back.
Rippingtons, Acoustic Alchemy, Peter White, Craig Chaquico, and the like. |
