Sometimes it's pollution haze, sometimes it's just burning off the moisture from the night time.
If you have ever come from Britain sailing into the hoek or Rotterdam you can see the haze of pollution over the land! Rotterdam as you probably know is a major oil port and industrial area. |

Yes, and I'm not that far from R'dam, just some 70-75km to its south :/ I've been told this province has a lot of air pollution, even though it's rural, since we're smack in the middle of Flushing & Antwerp harbours and Rotterdam.
Unreal to think you can see that lingering over Rotterdam area though, goes to show how bad it is! |

It's the same approaching any big city, London is like that.
You can't really get away with it anywhere. Just look at chernobyl, the radiation came right across Europe up to Scotland and Wales

Yes, in a way I think I was lucky as I was living in Indonesia at the time. Fukushima is another one, possibly even worse. Hit the US real bad too, and likely still does. The whole of California got the full whack, then it spread over the States to the east. Another something people don't think about anymore while likely glow-in-the-dark grain is exported from the US worldwide... Oh well.. sometimes it is best to not think about things, haha. |
