"Tell you later" might mean, "I'm married".

"Tell you later" might mean, "I'm married".

Or it might mean the list is too long to go into. Or it could mean "I'm a Christian who doesn't want to be ridiculed"

Perhaps they do feel their picture is just SO APPEALING, the viewer will be in too much suspense not to reach out and ask questions.

Missing out?

I doubt it.
No one who only says "I tell you later" is interesting.
I haven't got time for later, if I click on someone's profile my interest is NOW.
But the interest is not so big yet that I will stick around for 'later' or ask you...I've tried that, and it was pointelss.

Meaning, I move to the next who does know how to capture interest (by writing stuff about themselves in their profile).

That's how it works online...and what sets ot apart from just walking up to someone at random and starting a conversation.
You have an idea of what, if ANYTHING the two of you might have in common..without having to play "20 Questions", only to find out that nope...you don't...

*Every* single time I have given a guy the benefit of of the doubt WRT the "ask me", or "tell ya later" (usually they message me with "hey" or "hi")...it has been like pulling teeth to get anything out of him conversation wise..
Those are (in *my* expereince) are the guys who make with the 2-3 word/ 1-2 line replies...and get an attitude when you *do* ask them things..
"This ain't no d*** job interview"..

Yeah, darlin'..it kinda is...because I don't know anything about you, and you aren't serious enough about this to put even the most rudimentary stuff about you, or your interests, or what you are looking for on your profile..whoa

NAILED IT!drinker

I'd prefer a little mystery leading to a conversation. Not hiding anything...a matter of disclosure.

To each his own.

For me, personally,

I would like to know before we start talking if we have anything in common.

That would save me a lot of time and effort if your into Reggae, and im a rocker! laugh

To me, all it means, is that the budding Mensa
candidate, couldn't come up with at least four
words of their own.
