I hardly ever eat candy ( I know ,right) but sometimes when I am shopping at Bi-Mart ( chain store here in Oregon) their candy section has some of the old time candy from when I was a kid . They have mountain bars ( any oldsters remember those) and one of the few memories I have of my dad is him buying those for my bro and sister ( my dad died when I was 5)when we were on a. O outing with him. Last time I managed to get to the counter to pay and told the sales clerk whew I made it without buying a mountain bar she said no go ahead go get you one ,then we started laughing cause she said you'll probably say dam that clerk, she made me do it, such memories......

i recently started working with simple syrups and infusing them with herbs grown in containers, outside. lemon balm and spearmint.

i accidently reduced one batch too much and i got hard candy.
