My gf said she likes to feel special on
Valentines Day. I really hope she likes the helmet and crayons, that i bought for her. |

In the chat about "What women really want" someone answered
a "chocolate penis". I really can't think of anything better than that!! (unless, of course, it's a vibrating one...β¦) |

So..what would you like for Valentine's? Any good ideas? A Valentine! Gift ideas.... What Dat said, something they like. For me, simply being romanced. Edited in... "being romanced" is a little vague, sorry! If we've just met... picking me up for a date with a single rose in hand, his hand is gentle on my back as we walk to the car and he opens the door for me. He has soft romantic music on the radio and takes me to a quaint little restaurant for a candle lite dinner. After dinner if it's not too cold outside we walk along the river holding hands. If he forgot the rose when picking me up, lol, he'll stop when we walk by the flower vendors that set up for those special occasions and buy me that single rose. And then there's the kiss.... some time before the night is over, preferably at the river, but when he walks me to the door to say good night would be lovely too. We say goodnight and when he gets home he calls me to say goodnight again and tells me how much he enjoyed the evening with me If we're already in a relationship... a quiet intimate candle light dinner at home. Soft romantic music in the background, and a single rose on the table. He'll make sure the thorns are cut off the rose, so not to scratch my skin while he's gently caressing me with it later.... being a PG site, I'll stop there |

Someone has done some serious thinking about this! Just trying to be a little more specific, lol When we say "be romanced" the poor guys are left to guessing and usually get it wrong Although it's sweet when they at least try |

I would like a romantic dinner at home, my favourite music (soft not rock). Then he can give me a full body massage while he feeds me chocolate covered strawberries. Hopefully he doesnβt spill chocolate all over me

So basically just act the way I usually do? I was thinking an iTunes card or an iPod? I have given it some thought. I found a nice friendship bracelet at the mall when we were out last weekend. She paused and looked at a similar style set of earrings so I have an idea of her tastes. It might be a lil too early in the relationship to get too extravagant tho. $60 is not much when considering jewelry but it is still significant on a fixed income for an early relationship. She told me she has never been to an art museum. I think a formal date where we visit an art gallery and art museum might be something she would like. Maybe lunch at a famous restaurant and a street play. New Orleans is full of destinations, I just hate the traffic! She loves coming over and listening to music while we talk and make out. Maybe pick something up like chocolate covered strawberries or an Edible Creations and fix her my crock pot beef tips in wine sauce that she loves so much. Whatever it is, it will be something that expresses to her what she means to me. The gift is only part of the equation. |

That's really nice Tom, I'm sure whatever you do she will love it because it will come from your heart. I'd skip the itunes though |

I'd like a man to think about it to begin with (it's not traditionally Dutch).
Because it not being something big, neither is the intent of this day btw, I wouldn't necessarily expect something big. A beautiful card with a special message in it, cooking and eating dinner at home -something special of course. I don't think I'd expect a dinner outdoors in a restaurant. I don't think Valentine's is that big of an event. I kind of feel the same about gifts. Something cute, sweet and small is appropriate. A cuddly toy, a rose, a special keychain. Something like that. Accompanied with a special card. What I would appreciate very much from a guy is him being creative and inventive with gift-giving. I seriously never get why this is so difficult for a man. If you take an interest in a person it's the easiest thing in the world, and SO satisfying & joyful to shop for that one special gift. I find Etsy is a wonderful place for unusual yet very personal gifts. |

I'd love to give out (or get) a hug or a kiss or just holding hands for a Valentine gift. Simple gifts, but meaningful
