Topic: Not sure what I believe at the moment

So, I'm kind of in the middle of a spiritual crisis-ish-thing. I was raised Christian, the people in my church were nice, but I felt it all very hard to believe for me. It just didn't seem to fit together. I mean, I still believe in kindness to others and things like that, but I'm not sure about the whole... God thing... and especially not sure about "Jesus."

Last year, one of my friends told me I was psychic, and it seemed to make sense to me. I believe I have seen ghosts in the past... and sometimes I just know things to be true. I have used a pendulum to ask simple yes and no answers and been successfull. I tried to do a water blessing, which seemed to work. I just have had some very strange experiences that don't fit with Christianity at all. I believe there must be some force that links us all together, maybe even some really really subtle electrical currents that our brains pick up on. I belive that there are many spirits, not just ghosts... but spirits of air and water and such.

Now... Here's my problem. I'm not sure how this all fits together. I'm not sure if there's any specific religion that this all fits into. I'd appreciate some input.

Have faith cause the Christians are coming to scare you!!!

You know what is good for you. You obviously feel it inside yourself. You know that the religions offered offer to little. So go on your religious quest you have a lifetime to do it. May the fear mongers be far behind you. Good luck

Haha! Christians don't scare me! Especially not the church I went to.. they're okay with most things, as long as you're nice to people. I still go to church when I'm home, just because it's nice to see everyone.

Also... it's hard to hold faith when I don't know what faith I hold!

Thanks. I think that if there IS a God... he really can't blame us for not choosing the right religion or creed or whatever... because there's so many people claiming that theirs is the right one, and without him to come down and set us straight, we won't know until we die. And he/she's supposed to be forgiving, so I think he'd forgive us for being so confused.

The best we can do, is live every day like it's our last, and treat people fairly, equaly, humanely, and even kindly if we can manage it.

Except... the thing is... I'm not sure I believe in one simple specific God person thing at this time. I don't know... it's a difficult question that I think all (or at least most) of us must face at some point.

HAHA! Don't worry... I don't plan on running around nekkid under the full moon or anything. Mostly what I've gotten, is a sense that someone is there... sometimes I get a name in the back of my head. And I looked up this name once, and there actually was a kid by the same name who had committed suicide. I got a little freaked out, but I just told it to cross over, and it went away. I don't know. I just feel there are some things that can't be explained... and I don't think the devil is responsible. Really... why would he waste his time, sending me thoughts of those passed on, or letting me be able to guess the number someone is thinking of?

why did you edit it? You had a point that I've heard a lot of people make, and that should be brought up when considering the options.

At your age it is so normal to try and analyze it all.

My input is, just look for the simplisity in it all and it will come together for you.......and above all remeber to enjoy the journey.

Peace

Crazy Palindrome,

The experiments aren't empowering your better judgement, but exploiting your search.

Seek the peace of simple truth.

Be one with yourself to study the truth within.

Then look at Christ new again and fresh.

But simple truth is what it is. Be truthful, walk and talk it and limit opinions for a season, and be patient for direction.

Then seek Him and He will answer.

Heh. Christians aren't scary... most of them... They're some of the nicest people I know. I'm just not sure I fit in with them... I always feel... different.

Man's law changes with his understanding of man. Only the laws of the spirit remain always the same.
Crow

Regard Heaven as your father, Earth as your Mother and all things as your Brothers and Sisters.
Native American

All things are connected. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life. He is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

Nice quotes. That's pretty much how I try to live my life. I want to leave the world better than it would have been without me here. I try... once I get my degree, I'll be much better at making a positive impact in people's lives.

With an open mind, and an open heart, you may not need a religion to define what you feel.

You don't have to BE any religion... you get to BE you.
