"Hey SooS" my Catholic friend.
I've wondered (not that "I" am offended, but it "seems" offensive) why ANY extremely indoctrinated parents would name their child "Jesus" OR "Muhammad" for that matter? Excuse my ignorance, but I would really like to know. Wouldn't a "Prophet" by any name given still still be a "Prophet"? Wouldn't naming a child (whose character is untested) after an established prophet, be blasphemous? |

Jesus was a very common name, so is Muhammad.
My parents named me James, but they had no idea I was going to turn out to be a saint. That part was just a coincidence.

it's just a name. jesus was a very common name even before jesus existed. same with muhammed. i doubt either version of god would be offended by the practice.

Never met anybody with the greek name of Jesus, though I have met plenty with the english version of the name Joshua. Actualy, I always thought if I had a son I'd name him Joshua Mark;^]
