Do you think tring to manage All is possible without something lacking?

What is your thoughts on parent bringing their child to work , if they don't have a sitter at times ?

There are a few Work places that would allow this.

Trying to have it all is very much dependent on your partner and career. Bringing your children to work is totally unacceptable unless the company has a staffed daycare facility!!

Since I've gone back to work, I only sleep 4-5 hours a night. I'm exhausted. I've stopped dating. My "fun" time is going to my grandson's football game and then lunch. Then it's grocery shopping, cleaning and home projects. I'll die alone at this rate.

Uh, there is a difference between "having it all" and having a life full of joy. A person can have the former without having the latter.

No and that's okay. I'm not Super Woman, although I like to think so at times. I've expected myself to be super woman in the past and it always resulted in something lacking... usually having to do with my own well being because I am the personality type that self sacrifices to the extreme. Take care of everything and everyone around me first.... Not good or healthy!

The laundry can wait until tomorrow, I need a spa day happy waving

I definitely think something is lacking when a woman tries t do it all. Taking care of home. Children, spouse and Working Full-time.

When married I didn't have to do it all later as a single parent, I had had to do more. But it got done because I had to.

I'll always care and do for loved ones though.

Now I'm enjoying life and taking care of me. smile2

That's True!

But True Joy comes from inside , not what's going on around you.

It's great to have a partner who helps , I had one for years. Hard when that ended in my Younger years.

Many companies , offices have day-care in Larger Cities. Parents love it is so much more convenient. However, very expensive.

I think single people can have it all if that doesnt include kids. All their time and energy can be devoted to what that 'all' encompasses. I think once someone is a parent, it stops being about having it 'all' and you start being responsible for what someone else has and needs as well, which makes it much harder to manage having it 'all' on the terms that revolve around you.

I think kids are part of having it all. My friends without kids have definitely had an easier life. Now that we are getting older, parents are passing away and our friends are slowing down, it seems to leave them lonely. Having kids means you always have some thing to do. Future generations keep you busy too.
