Cannabis has many, many uses & benefits. I live in WA near Portland,OR & go to many meetings each month to network & learn about cannabis. Any body care to add to this?

Cannabis oil is still strictly regulated for medicinal use only here in the UK. There are only a few medical doctors able to prescribe its use to patients, where it is believed to be of benefit. Cannabis is still an illegal drug here in the UK. With every effort being made to help people stop smoking, I don't see the government here legalising its recreational use anytime soon, which I agree with, because in my opinion it can lead to a much more serious drug addiction for some people.

F.e.a.r. (it can lead to harder things. Chopping tomato's with a sharp knife can lead to a loss of fingers. Oo. Order out of chaos. Fear, it could be Terrible, Betty, oo , it probably will be)

For everything a reason
Forget everything and remember
Fallen empires are ruling
Freeing excellence affects reality

I actually believe in marijuana to be used to benefit patients medically. Do you see some of those legal prescription drugs and side effects they have? How is it different?

The simplest way I can tell you, there are no side effects as far as pot goes. Some, if they smoke it they cough. While others can smoke it and not cough. That's about the size of it. There is not one case ever been reported of marijuana addiction.

You don't get addicted to it. You decide you don't want to smoke it anymore, you can quit. With no side effects or withdrawal symptoms. Me, I vape. It can be used inside the house for those of us that don't want their house to smell smokey. The vape has a pleasant smell. The oil I'm using has a vanilla scent to it. Two hits about every 6 to 8hrs are all it takes for me.

It's been a Godsend for me. If you have chronic nerve or muscle pain, this does the trick and you get to keep your kidneys and bladder because you don't have to put all those man-made chemicals in your body. No tar. No nicotine. Everything that's in marijuana is natural to your body.

Medicinal marijuana always has a good c.b.d. content. There's over a 100 different compounds in marijuana and I think we only know what about 2 thirds of them are. That is 1 of them.

I got my "Medical" card in the mail 2 weeks ago. I am from Oklahoma & Oklahoma is a VERY DEEP solid "Red" state, stuck in the stone age,,And we voted in "Medical" this last June,,,We did it the old fashioned way & did a "End Around" on the bastard politicians that steadfast refuse let the state come out of the stone age . They collected enough signatures to put it on the ballot and the people voted for it, once the people voted it in there was NOTHING the politicians could do about it,,AND we made it a "Constitutional Amendment put into law" The politicians have bitched and bitched and done everything they could to stop or make ******** laws so it was next to impossible to use or buy it and because it was passed into law written by lawyers, there is absolutely NOTHING they could/can do about it. BUT give it to the conservative, old *** geriatric Baptists. If they didnt vote for it, it NEVER would had passed, We could vote and vote until the roosters came home, without the Geriatric vote the numbers wern't there. But the church got behind it, Simply because EVERYONE has a little grand kid Susie/Billy that is a great kid, just a little misunderstood, doing 10-15-20 years in the pen for just possession (Okla has some INSANE possession laws) People were simply sick of family members going to prison, If you had asked me 2 years ago if Okla would ever legalize outright or even "medical" I would had laughed in your face, The feds could drop the federal laws and leave it up to the states and 49 would legalize it & Oklahoma would be the ******* in the corner going "nope-nope-nope" lol Meaning, "if Oklahoma can do it, then anyone can"

I found super lemon haze, great for depression and motivation. I'd sit for maybe 10 or 20 minutes 1st, and then just got on with stuff.

Tell me more!

I live in Canada and pot is now legal. You can order it from the government which eliminates drug dealers.

I know many who use it for pain relief as well as other issues.

As far as smoking and driving, it’s the same as alcohol so it will be dealt with in the same way. I don’t think much has changed except we eliminate illegal sales which is a good thing.

been saying this for years..
Make it legal, tax it, boom...new source of revenue..

No one has ever driven stoned (from weed) and drove the wrong side of the interstste...or shot someone in a fit of rage...or gotten in a fight..
Alcohol, which has been legal for decades...can cause those..

I personally don't smoke weed..tried it numerous times...didn't see the draw....
(am interswted in the medicinal/ theraputic effects of CBD, though)

No no no no, I don't smoke it no more. Got tired of waking up on the floor. Don't ask me please it only makes me sneeze. And then it makes it hard to find the door.

I've seen both sides of people who use. For some, it isn't much different than going out on Saturday night and having a couple too many drinks.
The results are about the same and the same limitations on what you try to do need to be in place. Leave the car parked and be in a safe space.

For others that is not the case!! They are basically stoned most of the time and accomplish very little in their lives. I guess it is no different than a skid row alcoholic! Wasted lives with no future. I don't know or understand why the difference so I'm skeptical about legalizing recreational cannabis.

not planning to lose my license for smoke .. glasses

(I don't think recreational marijuana's legal in Arizona, only if you have the card for medical use.)

My son gave me 4 of his Rx medical brownies to eat (he has an Rx thru the VA).
I ate two and got a buzz.
Pain and sickness while I was 'high' was severe.
I froze the other two (still in the freezer).
I have a doobie he gave me about a year and a half ago.
He offered to give me another one just the other day.
I told him I would put it with the other one.

I have weed in my house right now.
I have no will to smoke or eat it.
A 12 pack of beer makes the pain go away for a night but I pay for that for 3 days after.
There is no quick fix, I need a dr that cares about my quality of life, LOL, like that's gunna happen...

Don't even know where to start with this one.

How about this: "With booze you lose but with dope there's hope".

I've smoked weed almost every day for the last 45 years. shocked

I can almost hear the gasps and sighs from those thinking "now we know what's wrong with that guy", didn't like him anyway. rant

Most of the last century and still continuing there has been a campaign of misinformation and boldfaced lies projected at all of us regarding cannabis.
Many have strong opinions on the topic without having any practical (or very little) experience themselves; just doing what they've been told by the government. Because if Ronald Raygun and Dear Abbie say it, it must be so.

My dad was an alcoholic I believe mainly due to what is now called PTSD, he was a Marine during the Korean war. I know he killed dozens of people and was awarded three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. BTW I don't know these things by his words, he spoke of his war maybe a total of five minutes the entire 58/9 years I knew him.
(I've found that the ones who talk about it least did the most but that's another topic).
His father was an alcoholic and I often witnessed his mean and abusive treatment of my grandmother.
I have never had a problem with alcohol, just never been a good drinker even when I was a kid. I rarely drink and could easily go the rest of my life without alcohol.
Willie Nelson (who is my late fathers age) comes to mind, he has been very outspoken crediting weed with saving his life by getting him off the whiskey.
IMO it's a normal human desire to want to get high. Alcohol tends to bring out the worst in people and just makes you stupid. Cannabis makes you happy, cheerful and thoughtful.

Out of time for now but have much more input on this topic I'll save for later...

I have no problem living in reality.
I don't need to get high to escape life's problems.
What I do need is a relief from pain and sickness that is ever-present.
Weed won't do that for me, I get super aware.
I am unable to compensate for the pain and sickness when I am high.
I partied like a madman till I started a family.
I grew up with other farmers and we all had our own crops.

What I need is some really good Rx pain meds or something to fix this messed up body that I ran for too long over the redline.
Since its nearly impossible for me to get any Rx pain meds, that is no longer an option. It was, they actually kept me working 2 years after my dr told me to stop.

As it is, the ONLY option I have for any pain relief is alcohol.
I have a full bar of liquors.
I can't really drink those anymore because they make me deathly sick.
I suffice with beer.
Sometimes a 6 pack works, sometimes I need 10.
I get bad hangovers after, tho.

I won't drink and drive, period.
I drink at home and I am alone most of the time.
I don't chug the beer.
I sip it.
I really don't care for the taste.
But, it works and it works everytime.

It's amazing how many still choose to believe the hype and choose to view weed as some evil entity. Yet many of those same people will happily consume alcoholic substances everyday.

Alcohol does more damage every year to individuals and families than weed has since it was discovered. Thw vast majority of prescription drugs merely attempt to replicate the many healing aspects of weed. However, usually with far more negative side effects.

Weed wasn't criminalised because of the dangers but largely to keep federal agents in employment after prohibition was abolished. Check the dates for yourself. The added benefit to the American economy being the increased rates of criminalisation amongst those from lower socioeconomic environments. Providing cheap labour for the penal system, modern slaves. Other countries like The UK choose to follow suit, being the wagging tail of the dog.

Anyone who chooses to speak ill of weed but partakes in the drinking of alcoholic beverages in my opinion is a brainwashed hypocrite. They probably still believe that drinking cows milk is good for us, another lie sold to use by Big Business for decades.
