Why am I lonely? Perhaps and the keyword is perhaps... You are accustomed to being with someone and your mind can't deal with being alone? I'm alone and I don't have a problem with it. I don't WANT to be alone but that is how it is. I klnow people that are petrified of being alone. They will do ANYTHING not to be alone. Lonely is yearning for companionship but thinking that without that companionship you are somehow incomplete. You can be alone and still feel complete. Its all in how your mind works. There are a lot of people that complain about being lonely but they are not truly alone. There's always someone in their lives. When you are truly alone, there is nobody else.

Good points Tom, I like what you said. Having experienced "empty nest" syndrome going from a family of 6 to just me it was a revelation of experience.

Why am I lonely? hello aitzaz I think it is in our DNA to want to form Connections with others .. or with animals or nature ., of course there will always be exceptions ., but on the whole we crave being connected . Only you will know why you feel lonely .. have you moved to a new place .. do you feel accepted by society and your family ., has something changed to make you feel isolated ?? Whatever the reason is .. you are the one with the power to change how you feel .

I think you are not good at communication.There are a part of people in the world who are afraid of social activities,they would rather keep themselves alone in their bedroom.They feel terriable when they talk to others,for them,talking with stranger making them mad.I am this type person used to be,but now I am becoming more and more open,if you want to get a change,just overcome yourself.

hahaha.. and try to watch horror movies and real ghost hunting in the dark.. you'll never feel lonely at all..
